I'm officially taking a break from Destiny. I have identified the mechanism for its addictive qualities that makes a person grind through the same handful of missions over and over in the hope of improving gear or finding new stuff. Cold turky is the only cure for addiction. I am annoyed with Bungie and Activision's approach to nickle and dime players for content. Never mind the unfairness caused to players who did not annie up for the dlc. Or the dedicated players who after a simple update discovered their coveted legendary and exotic gear had just become obsolete. Although exotics can be upgrade ( at a cost of 7 stranges coins and reseting all progress on said piece of gear) legendaries can not be upgraded, only replaced. The thing is this game has so much potential and it can be really fun. But these guys are just being greedy and lazy and it shows.

So I have returned to Skyrim and I think I will also be heading back to Hyrule. I never finished Skyward Sword and I think its time to rectify that tragic lapse of priorities. I will get back to Borderlands tps eventually, I'm just kind of burned out on shooters for the moment.

I am actually excited about the new 3DS. As usual my patients has paid off. I wanted to get a DSXL but never really had the money. I don't play my DS much anymore just because its to small and makes my hands cramp up. So now I can get the XL with all the 3d goodies. But that is still a ways off. Got a little carried away at christmas and had to take my cat to the vet so I'm playing catch up. Funny thing is instead of going to Gamestop to buy games I have been planning to get rid of some. Stuff I beat and know I will never play again (Batman Arkham Asylum), or tried and found to be beyond me (damn you Ninja Gaiden).
