Fresh games for the backlog...(sigh)...yeah...

Just got Tales of Graces, Digital Devil Saga, and Metroid: Other M. I played Graces not long ago and it easily has the best combat system of any Tales game to date. The Story and characters are your classic anime style melodramatic affair that you can't help but like. Been scoping Shin Megumi Tensei Digital Devil Saga for a while but it was always a bit pricey. Rented it like 6 or 7 years ago and thought it was pretty cool. But its always been a bit rare and pricy. Managed to get it for $13, it had been $35 for the longest ( were talking a used PS2 game here!) Got Other M for $8 and I have not even tried it yet. I have been kind of pissed with Metroid games since Prime 2 and have mostly heard bad press on this one. But for 8 bucks I had to see for myself.

Anyway I'm determined to play through the Mass Effect trilogy start to finish before I jump into anything else, but I'm already struggling with what that might be. Too many damn games and not enough time.

Gotta play 'em all. Haha! I'm waiting for ME Trilogy to come down in price before I get it. I just can't see myself paying over $40 for it, especially since I'm pretty happy with all I have to go through right now.

It was a pretty good deal when I got it cause Mass 3 was still full price. But time wise I think I've sunk 40 hrs in to Mass1 and I'm already 45 into Mass2 and still got probly at least another 10 to go. And since Mass3 has multiplayer there is no telling how much time I sink into that one.

I was thinking about getting Other M for my brother on his birthday. I heard a lot of bad stuff about it too. Mostly in regards to the plot. Which I could care less about as long as the combat is fun. For $8 how can you go wrong?

Thats kind of what I was thinking too. The plot in Super Metroid was pretty much implied and the action told the story. Even in the Prime games is was all just filler from research logs. Guesse I'll find out.

I did like the gameplay for Metroid other m, and i just ignored the story as much as possible.

I was glad to see it go back to it roots as a side scroller, but I was a bit unsure about the cqc take on Samus fighting style. But I'm pretty open minded about it.

You can still score Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne on the cheap for the PS2! (Assuming you don't already have it of course) It's a shame Digital Devil Saga is so expensive because the story gets much better as it progresses towards the end.

Thats the one that has Dante as a hidden character right? They had if for a while too, also $35 but it sold before I could get around to getting it. I was pretty sure DDS was a trilogy. I'm assuming amazon has it cheap, I need to start looking for games there more often, kind of forget they sell games, usually lookin for music when I shop with them.
