Persona 4 Golden

So PSN had a sale for their 20th Anniversary. Which is pretty cool to think Playstation has been here for that long. This sale consisted of 60 games that included titles like Jak & Daxter HD Collection, Ratchet & Clank Collection, Killzone: Shadow Fall and of course Persona 4 Golden. There were many titles that were interesting to pick up. Hopefully you all had a chance to get some great games. Surprisingly the only game I really wanted was Persona 4 Golden. I would've bought the HD Collection of Jak and Ratchet games but I pre-ordered two other games which I will mention next.

Dying Light

Once this was available for pre-order I jumped onto the Xbox store and pre-ordered it. This game has been pushed back so many times. I was ready to play it last March, June, September, then November and finally this month. It's ridiculous to see games having a release date then developers saying the game still needs "fixing" so they push the date further. If it needs work then don't give us gamers hope for a game with a release date. Anyways I'm excited about this game. I know the zombie genre is getting pretty old with games like Dead Island, DayZ and even CoD but I've been wanting a good zombie game for a while on the new consoles. I liked Dead Island 1 and Riptide. Also excited for part 2. Dying Light mixes zombie slaying with more survival and included parkour in it. I like the night factor they added in this game. Once the sun sets, the monsters come out and play. Till sunrise, it's chaos out in the streets. I'm excited to see how the co-op plays out in that kind of situation.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected & Gat Out of Hell

I've played SRIV when it released on 360 but I never finished it. I ended up trading it once I knew there was going to be an HD remake of the game. Saints Row has always been ridiculous. Not as serious as GTA which is a pretty good thing. Re-Elected comes with all the DLC released for the game and an HD boost to the graphics. Gat Out of Hell I believe is it's own story game based off SRIV. I'm going to pass Re-Elected before going into Gat Out of Hell because I feel like there are some spoilers from IV that will be in the game.

Minecraft

For the record, I had no interest in playing Minecraft since it came out. I knew my little cousins loved the crap out of that game. They all play it on their tablets and computers. I thought it was stupid and never knew why it got such high ratings on every system it released. One night on my Xbox One I saw a few friends playing it. No biggie because I knew they had it on the 360 before. Then I saw a good handful of my friends playing it the next night. Eventually I just caved in and bought it. 50+ hours later I find myself glued to the game. I didn't think I would get into it but I did.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

I've been meaning to pick this up for a while. I think a week after it released I found a used copy at one of my local GameStop stores and played it for a while. It was a different take into the FF series and I liked it but I couldn't persuade myself to keep it. So I just waited till I found it cheaper. I was shopping at my local Target and saw the Target exclusive steelbook edition of the game. It was the last one that the store had and the closest one that had another copy was about 30 mins away. So I just got it. A few months ago my girlfriend got me FFXIII-2 and I played a little bit of that but stopped because I was so confused about the story. I never played XIII so the story behind the characters wasn't clear to me. So earlier this month I decided to pick up XIII and just started it last night. I'm enjoying it so far and I can finally get into the trilogy.
