Pixlbit Nation, how are you? Currently in what is normally sunny Southern California, it is 59 degrees and there is some rain, which means in Southern California: IT’S STORM WATCH 2015. Yes SoCal can’t handle weather that isn’t hot and not hot. While browsing through the internets I saw that Dr. Dre Beats Mixr’s were on clearance at Target for $70 so naturally I had a reason to visit Target…other than buying eggs. It turns out they are still full retail so I left with my eggs and I am currently enjoying Taco Bell’s Bacon Crunchwrap (the Octagon shaped flat burrito) and I writing a new Quick Hits! Let’s get started!

WWE Royal Rumble

 

This was my first Pay Per View on the WWE Network so I was interested to see how they would handle the actual event and to see what they had going on in terms of Pre Show. I skipped the pre show match because I have no interest in the two tag teams. I have a list of wrestlers I call the walk out list because I just don’t care for their gimmick, and one of the teams is on my list. As for the actual Royal Rumble I’d like to quickly go over it:

 

Ascension vs. New Age Outlaws

Remember my Walk Out List? Yeah Ascension is on it. They are a terrible gimmick that are just embarrassing. Think fake Legion of Doom with God of War paint. This was another gimmie for them because NAO was big in the late 90s/early OOs. If the WWE needs to push an up and coming tag team, find someone else.

 

The Usos vs. The Miz and Mizdow

The Usos are also on my Walk Out List. Seriously WWE some of these tag teams are terrible. I’d rather see Cesaro and Tyson Kidd get a push. Anyways the only thing worth watching in this match is Mizdow.

 

The Bella Twins vs. Natalya and Paige

This was the match I was waiting for because I like the Bellas and then Natalya and Paige replaced them as my favorite team. I wish there was more to this match but I want to see where the WWE is taking Natalya and Paige.

 

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins

This was by far the best match of the night. Cena is also on my Walk Out List but dude showed up. At first I thought this was going to be terrible, but damn all three put on a hell of a show.

 

The Royal Rumble

This 30 man match had the pieces to be good but I think it fell flat. There was some old faces like Diamond Dallas Page and Bubba Ray Dudley making their return to the WWE, and some good storylines like Bray Wyatt and Rusev, but after that it fell and fell hard. There were already rumors on the internet about who was going to win, and even on Reddit someone posted some promotional piece where just by the placement of the wrestlers you knew who they were pushing for. The end sucked, the fans knew it, and even with The Rock showing up with the People’s Elbow, he couldn’t save it.

 

Iliza Shlesinger’s Frozen Hot

I started watching this Netflix special and it isn’t bad. Its like War Paint where she makes fun of women and the dumb things they do. I watched this before I went to sleep so I was starting to nod off with 15 minutes left. I’ll finish it later on today.

 

 

Hak5

While watching a random episode of Hak5 on YouTube, I noticed that the host’s laptop has a familiar sticker

 

See the Mickey Mouse sticker (bottom center)? I used to hand those out when I worked at the Happiest Place On Earth. Those are survey stickers. I was part of the group that walked around the park, doing random surveys with an old school tablet where the battery pack was like a reverse fanny pack. Oh Windows CE. Anyways after I gave a survey I handed out those stickers as a “Thank You” (by thank you it was just an easy spotter for other Guest Researchers to know that person already took a survey).

Yes because right after football season is over he is probably going to repaint his house in Miami He….I mean Cleveland Cavaliers colors for his favorite team.

 

 

Adventures In Fast Food

Earlier this week I went to KFC for some dinner and ordered some chicken and hot wings. When I got home I realized that they forgot my wings. KFC was super apologetic and when I went back to pick up my wings the employees were apologizing and said they’ll be ready in 2 minutes. I was offered a drink, and got a free large size for my trouble. The best part of the whole deal was the manager said she added extra wings to my order. When I got home she doubled my order. Freaking awesome! I should visit KFC more often because each time I go they have excellent customer service.

 

Also what is Honey Sauce? It’s not like honey is hard to find. Heck the forth ingredient is honey. You would think they could save money by, I don’t know, just throwing honey into a packet?

 

I just finished my Taco Bell breakfast and I’m regretting the decision to eat at Taco Bell. Maybe the food gets better in the future

Games

After depositing my check I went to the local GameStop to see if they have the games I wanted on their 3 for $10 deal. One of the employees was nice enough to let me look through their list and it turns out the three games I wanted they don’t have. Oh well. Since I was there I remembered that there was a new add-on to Saints Row so

 

I bought Saints Row Gat Out Of Hell and Gravity Rush. I went with the 360 version of GooH because I bought the digital version of Saints Row IV on the 360. Gravity Rush is a replacement buy because I have the PS+ version but I like Physical over Digital. I’ll probably buy the physical copy of Saints Row on PS4.

 

PSN had a sale on games along with their 10% off coupon because their service went down on Christmas. Yeah a whopping 10% off.

 

I originally wanted just Shadow Warrior because I was on the fence about it a couple of weeks ago. $6 is a rental price and since the game used is around $20 it’ll will drop in price and I will pick it up. I also bought OlliOlli because $3 is steal for a game that I heard wasn’t bad. I’m playing more of it on Vita than anything else because I thought it was a perfect portable game. I haven’t tried Strike Suit Zero yet, and Lumines is basically the same stuff you’d find on the PSP/and the Vita but it has some extra PS3 content. Yeah I got suckered into it with that promise.

 

iPad Games

 

These are some games that were .99 cents each but were free for a day so I downloaded them. The train one looks promising.

 

My final pickup happened earlier this morning when I went looking for $70 headphones (like I need more headphones). While walking around the toy aisles I happened to stop at the Hot Wheels section, which I need to stop doing but I found two cars that I never run into

 

More Batman cars! I wish there were multiples so I could have bought two of each just so I could open them.

 

Alright Pixlbit I am off. I’m starting my three-day weekend with some rain and regret about Taco Bell. Have a good weekend, and I am going to take more pictures for Blog A Day February.
