I can't wait to buy an oversized phone to play games on or perhaps a tortie who is in fact photogenic. Mine is cute, but refuses to show up in pictures.
Well, good deal finding some stuff while you cleaned up.

This is related to gaming only in that the drawers I was cleaning out contain my 3DS and PSP chargers.
I was cleaning out the drawers that I keep various electronics and accessories in yesterday.
I have a collection of game and phone chargers, HDMI cables, power bars and other assorted crap.
While cleaning I cam across two digital cameras that haven't been used in years and some old cell phones.
I found a bunch of pictures on both phones that I'd forgotten about.
Some wild turkeys that were running around my backyard in my old house.
This was taken with my 8 year old Sony 5.1 megapixel camera. Turned out ok.
A picture of our rescue Tortie affectionately known as Hag because of her voice. She's not very photogenic but this one came out pretty well. It was taken with a 12 megapixel Nikon.
Finally I decide to take a picture of the evolution of my touch screen phones over time. for reference the LG on the far left is about a 2.5" screen. It has a slide out number pad on the botton. The HTC sitting beside it was my first Android phone, It has a 3.2" screen and an aluminum body. Next to my 5.7" Galaxy Note 4 on the far right it seems incredibly tiny.
Growth over time: LG 2.5",HTC 3.2", Galaxy S II 4.2",Nokia 1020 4.5", Galaxy S 4 5.0", Note 4 5.7"
To make this more gaming relevant I have Dragon Quest IV, Syberia and Broken Sword on My Note 4 right now. Syberia and Broken Sword fare a lot better on a touch interface because the whole point and click system. DQ IV looks nice and plays well but the sliding around the screen is not nearly as good as using buttons.
That's it for me, see you tomorrow/
The really good part is that the last 3 phones were given to me by the school board so I paid nothing for them. I couldn't afford a Samsung Note 4 on my own dime. Now that the 3 year contract on my S II is up I won't be paying for a cell phone plan for a while either.
I'm still not sold on phone/tablet gaming. For a lot of games it just feels unnatural. I did finish Monument Valley though and it was pretty good.
Well yeah, it depends on the game, but if you get a game like Sonic or an old side scroller that only has directions and one or two buttons as controls and I think Android phones handle that nicely enough.
I couldn't speak about iPhone, but I'm skeptical of only having the screen and one button smack-dab in the middle-bottom of the phone.
Not really true. Most of the games that are on iOS are on Android too if they aren't they show up a couple of months later. Plus I can get games from Humble for cheap and don't have to rely on iTunes for everything. iTunes is the thing about iOS that really sucks. I just don't enjoy playing a lot of the games I've got without physical buttons. I've tolerated it for DQ games and Chrono Trigger but I still find it annoying.
