I played the original waaaaaaaay back in the day - when it first hit - but haven't picked up the sequel after it got more middling feedback. I'd like to pick it up though - it's certainly a mentally backlogged title.
American McGee Hinting at Possibility for Alice 3

So here I am again after saying I didn't want blog, blogging again. Though I have a really good reason for this one, and beyond that if I didn't post something about this I'd hate myself forever.
McGee posted an image in his facebook this morning/last night (depending on where ever you live) with these questions:
"Alice Fans,
Questions for you:
1) If we could get the rights from EA, would you play "Alice 3?"
2) If you'd play "Alice 3," would you back it on Kickstarter?
3) If you said "yes" to those two things, make some noise - I'm trying to gauge interest in case I happen to discuss this with EA during GDC in 2 weeks. The more interest there is, the more seriously they'll take the conversation."
The mere possibility of this got me really excited. Madness Returns is my second favorite game this gen, (I have it on 360, and PS3 too). I really loved everything about it, but it's story and atmosphere the most. The game is really underrated and needs more love.
In case you're wondering what Alice: Madness Returns is it's a 3D platformer and sequel to American McGee's Alice. Which is basically a take on the Alice in Wonderland story from a more twisted insane angle. It's about a girl who after losing her family in a house fire goes insane. Wonderland is basically her mental escape from all this and she sets out to fix all the parts her mental instability have ruined.
In Madness Returns she returns to Wonderland seeking answers to what actually happened the night of the fire. It's pretty much like a standard cartoony platformer with more dark and serious themes. Which is why I loved it so much. I grew up on games like this, and it was really nice to see one that "grew up" with me.
So anyways you should all go to McGee's page and like, comment, share, and as he said make some noise. I'd really love to see it get another sequel, and you should too.
On this note a friend of mine on twitter had a couple of extra steam gift codes for Madness Returns which she gave me. If you want one and I dont hate you say something I'll give it to you, maybe.
