As I post this, there is one more week of high school basketball games that I have to clean up after. Tuesday of next week is the last scheduled home game for any team at the school where I work and I have to say Good Riddance to this relentless plague of a campus pasttime. All I'll have to deal with in the meantime is shitty weather, which everyone has to deal with.

More Titanfall (360) this morning before I went to bed. Still so freaking fun. Yes, I know I'm up against bots as well as humans but it's never like I'm overpowered so early in playing. In fact, the tide of each battle swings like a pendulum so I can never tell if my team is always winning. I'm trying to get used the loadouts and the burn cards (the former of which I've only had slight experience in in other FPS's) but mostly I just like jumping in there for a few matches. It may be only online play, true, but it's damn good at what it does.

Wish I could say anything useful about the Super Bowl but I spent most of Sunday recovering from a cold so I didn't feel like anything except for sleeping. I did manage to catch most of the 2nd half and the halftime show but I was out for anything else. The movie trailers felt a little underwhelming; maybe because they didn't add much as previous trailers. Nothing for Mad Max Fury Road? Really?

Guest-starred on a recent podcast episode of Entertainment Landfill where myself and the two hosts just babbled on about pop culture for 2 hours. I also wanted to record another podcast episode but the cold took care of that plan.

Watched The Guest Monday morning. It's a terrific ode to low-budget 80's action/suspense films. If Dan Stevens isn't a star after this, something has gone terribly wrong.

hope you're feeling better, man.  I'm glad you're enjoying Titanfall.  It doesn't have a lot of depth, but it's great action and twitch, and I think the verticality of the combat is great.

I, too, was feeling less than stellar on Sunday. Didn't even feel well enough to drive the half mile down the road to get a frozen pizza during halftime, much drive the 45 minutes to Jason's cousin's Super Bowl party, or the 20 minutes to Jason's to watch the game with him.

I actually don't have to deal with shitty weather, it's just kind of cold.

Titanfall was on sale this weekend on Xbox Live. I was very tempted to try it out. I want to drive one of those titans.

I still play a few matches every day. It's so much fun; fast-paced enough to not feel like a daily grind.
