Linked to Article Series: Blog a Day (BaD) 2015

And yet another snow storm looms in my immediate future. Yay. Actually, if I didn't have to shovel it, I'd be a lot more excited. Did my weekly grocery shopping and was picking stuff up to make chili. Apparently, so was everyone else. Glad I already had most of what I needed, because the shelves with the canned beans were pretty bare, as was the section with the canned tomatoes. I got lucky and managed to find a can of plain diced tomatoes, and with that and the hamburger, i was all set. So tomorrow I have gaming and cooking chili on the agenda, and nothing else.

Reading: I took a break from The Lions of al-Rassan. It was a bit heavier than I felt like reading, and I've been reading from my stack of Louis L'Amour books. I can finish one of those in a couple of hours and I'm on my sixth one in about ten days. Jason loaned me one of Neil Gaimon's newest books, it's on the to be read soon list.

Watching: Still watching the second season of Crossing Lines on Netflix and trying to keep current on the series I'm watching this season on Hulu Plus.  And season five of Justified on Amazon Prime.

Playing: Tales of Xillia 2 is taking up a lot of my attention at the moment. I'll do a blog on my impressions at some point during BaD.

That's all for today, Pixlbit Nation. See ya tomorrow!

my parents are watching Crossing Lines too.  They were binging on the Fall with Gillian Anderson for a while, but that's over.

I'm drinking ginger bread ale in this seventy degree weather.  I hope to get a little buzzed and play some video games.  Was a busy day at the market and stuff.

Matt, I'm going to say to you what we say to our friend Amos when he starts in on the "it's 70 degrees here in San Diego" and we're freezing our asses off: And the horse you rode in on. Although we usually abbreviate it to just "And the horse..."

I like Crossing Lines, I like the location shots. Other than that, it's pretty much just another cop show (not that that is a bad thing, I love cop shows). Having spent a lot of time in Europe growing up, it's nice to see those places again.

I like winter, but I'm getting pretty sick of shoveling, and after the hot water pipes froze yesterday, every time it gets cold, I'm going to be paranoid about it happening again.

yeah I get sick of the summer at a certain point every year too.

But I'm not sick of winter, just of shoveling. I want to play in the snow, not move it!

Have you read the graveyard book by Gaiman? It's a good read and it's a nice size book so it would probably be a quick relax reading. I'm still reading the Assassin Apprentice by Robin Hobb. I did find the last Artemis Fowl novel though so I'm definitely gonna start that one afterwards. Be safe! Right now the weather in Texas is playing hopscotch with going back in forth hot and cold. It's suppose to be 60 and 70 for the rest of the week but I think it will be cold because everyday that seems to be the case. I'm ready for spring dang it!

That's one I haven't read yet. His American Gods is one of the best books I've ever read, though. As for the snow...I shouldn't listen to rumors in the checkout line at the grocery store, lol. According to the local news with the most accurate weather, we're only getting 2-5 inches, instead of the foot the woman behind me in line was saying we'd get and it will be done by late morning.

I wouldn't mind reading some of those Louis L'Amour books. Do you know a good one to start with? Chili sounds freaking delicous right about now.

I really like the Sackett series. The first three are kind of meh, I can't remember if I read the next two or not, but the series really gets good starting with The Daybreakers. I also like the Kilkenny trilogy - The Rider of Lost Creek, The Mountain Valley War, and Kilkenny. He also wrote Hondo, another favorite. You can usually find them for cheap in used bookstores.

I would kind of like being out of work for a while. I'm super tired of working. I'd read, write and play games all day. Oh and probably do something outdoorsy.

People always ask me (or tell me they would be)if I get bored in the winter. No, I don't. I have too many hobbies to ever be bored.
