What will I play next?

Howdy Pixlbit, this blog will focus on games I'm looking forward to this year (spoiler, they're all Nintendo games) and everyone is doing one of these so why not make one myself? Well here are the games I'm looking forward to this year in no particular order.

Majora's Mask 3D

MM3D

Basically this seems to be nearly everyones favorite game in the series. I'll agree that it's a very great game, it was pretty dark and it had a very good story. The only thing I really didn't like was that it didn't have quite as many dungeons as you'd expect. The only one that was really cool was Stone Tower Temple because that was really mind-blowing when I first played through the game. Now it's being re-released as a remake like Ocarina of Time was on the 3DS. Not sure if I can get this one at launch because I may get a New 3DS, so hopefully at some point.

Codename S.T.E.A.M.

Codename Steam

When this was first teased at E3, the concept really appealed to me, even though we got no screenshots of it till later on. It has a very interesting premise and it jst looks like a game that would fit the Wii U, yet it's on the 3DS. But it's a new IP so you can't complain. It also uses amiibo support, but only the Fire Emblem amiibos. They'll also re-issue Marth, which is nice because I never got him the first time around. I'm hoping to get him and Lucina.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D

A portable version of Xenoblade Chronicles, what's not to like? I can see this being Nintendo's Ace on the New 3DS because everyone loves this game, me included. No release date so far but all we got was sometime in April. In Japan, they're getting it on April 2, my birthday. That would make a great birthday present to me if it released over here at that day. Expect a post about Xenoblade sometime this month or so.

Splatoon

Splatoon

Another of the new IP's Nintendo is making. I thought it was Super Mario Sunshine when they first announced it. The game just looks really fun and a neat take on the shooter genre. It will also have alot of cool things and even a story mode of sorts. Not sure if I'll get this at launch butI'll be up for a round or two when it releases.

Starfox Wii U

Star Fox Wii U

We know next to nothing about this one, other than the fact that it's coming out this year before Zelda Wii U. Other than that screenshot of Miyamoto playing it. Starfox has been somewhat of a missed series as of late with the last original game in the series being Starfox Command on the DS. I was a fan of Adventures and Assault but alot of people weren't a fan of those, but based on the info we have of the new Wii U game, it sounds really promising and the Starfox game we always wanted to see. Let's hope it delivers because it's been a long wait.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X

When this was first announced last year, I thought it was Metroid because the song they used at the start sounded like something from Metroid Prime. Apparently it's a spiritual successor/sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles but it has no connection to it whatsoever. Wha...? But the game looks really great and the idea of such a massive rpg looks really abitious. They've even said it was 5x bigger than the entire map of the original game, and that's saying alot because the map of Xenoblade is enormous. But now this time it has mechs that transform. As a Transformers fan, that sounds really awesome and should make exploration more fun. They've even gone to say it would take around 300 hours to complete... that's alot of rpg. Can't wait to explore New Los Angeles.

Zelda Wii U

Zelda Wii U

It's Zelda, what more can you expect? The last console release was Skyward Sword and I loved it at first, but not so much in my second playthrough. That will be a post for another day. They didn't show much at E3 but they did show more info at the VGA and it looks really great and no motion controlled combat from the looks of it, well they never really said that but let's hope no motion controlled sword combat or swiiming with a Wiimote. From what they said, it looks like the Zelda game I always wanted to play, a big expansive world to explore with plenty of dungeons, and things just going on in the world map all the time. Kinda like Fallout 3, but only as a Zelda game and obviously less buggy. That aside, they are using a mix of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker's visual style, like they did with Skyward Sword, but now it looks way better and refine than it did the last time. They said they are taking an anime approach with it's artstyle and that sounds really good, and the game looks amazing. Let's just hope that's executed better this time around. And let's hope the game is worth the hype as the first original HD title on the Wii U.

And those are all the games I'm looking forward to this year. A long time ago I said I was looking forward to Batman: Arkham Knight as I had envisioned getting a PS4 this year, but with my 3DS broken, I'm opting for a New 3DS instead. So maybe the PS4 will be at my house next year or so. I know all of these are Nintendo titles but that's what I want this year. I'm proud to own aWii U and I'm lookng forward to all of these. What games are you looking forward to? Thanks for reading and later.

I'm looking forward to these, but Zelda and Xenoblade more than the others. Also excited for Bloodborne, Pokken, Uncharted, and most of all Metal Gear Solid V.

Same on Xenoblade and Zelda. Forgot about Pokken Fighters but didn't have enough time to include it. I am planning to write something on it though.

From the list here, definitely looking forward to Majora's Mask 3D, Splatoon, Star Fox Wii U and Zelda Wii U. I'm also keeping an eye on Xenoblade 3D, but i'm wary by the fact that it's not compatible with the normal 3DS.

However, the game i'm looking forward the most is non-Nintendo: No Man's Sky.

Same on those games. If you ever get a New 3DS, get Xenoblade, it's that good. As for No Man's Sky, I want to play it but can't sadly. At some point though!

I don't think motion controls will be used in Zelda U. I noticed in video footage that the game pad was being used to play it. I'm pretty excited for all these titles but alot of them will be when I can get them ones. Only a small few are buy on day one titles. I'm also looking forward to Mortal Kombat X, The Witcher 3, Monster Hunter 4, and The Order.

I wrote a blog about the games I'm looking foward to a while back.  But the most recent game I'm looking forward to is Kirby and the Rainbow Curse on Feb. 20.

Yep, all those games are games I want to play. Every day I think of how I'd like to play Xenoblade Chronicles again but since I no longer have it I need to wait. Of course I'll need new hardware for most of those games but hopefully my luck will change.

I was slightly leary about Xenoblade X after hearing details about it but not enough to put me off completely.

I'm by far the most curious about how Star Fox turns out.

Looking forward to Majora's Mask 3D. Also Codename S.T.E.A.M. looks pretty cool.

I just got the demo for Codename: S.T.E.A.M.. I've only seen the opening cut-scene so far though. Other than that, I don't really have a game I'm considering for day-one purchase yet in 2015. Lots of maybes though.
