BaD #05: Persona 5 Trailer Analysis

Cover System
This was the oddest part of the trailer for me. I'm not sure if this is some kind of stealth story mission or a standard dungeon? And why is the character acting like a vampire? Is it the main character with an alter ego when going into the dungeon? Interesting. Looks like a dungeon to me

Super Hero theme
If you watch the trailer, the first half is like a superhero like robin or nightwing flying around all over the place. Are we moving away from depressed teens shooting themselves in the face with the soul gun or whatever? One character even dresses like catwoman? Hmmm...

Back to School
This place should be familiar if you've played any of the games before, especiall 3 &4. The visuals are looking hot and I'm interested to see how the skills system works here by making friends, etc.

Platforming
This is pretty odd too. Not sure if it's gameplay or cutscene, but the main character seems to be jumping across chandeliers for some reason. I don't remember doing this kind of stuff in past games? Weird?

All in all in seems like there is a Batman crime fighting type theme this time around, but thats just from what I get of the trailer and costumes. The game looks good and colorful so I'm pretty excited to play it. Hopefully there will be a VITA port.

yeah it looks good. I've never finished one of these though. I keep on telling myself I'm gonna get back into 4, which I REALLY like, but just can't concentrate on.

The theme for this one is crime, the protagonist and his party apparently will be doing heist. I also read that instead of he characters chasing the antagonist it's in reverse. I guess we won't know for sure until a later date. I'm excited for this!

The menus are brilliant. The art direction in the game puts the rest of the industry to shame. Also notice how you're not fighting shadows to initiate combat. Love the camera angles in the classroom and when he's walking past the crowd. So stylish.

It's been a long time since I was this excited about a game coming out. So long that I can't even remember the last time off the top of my head.

I was thinking Crime fighting theme but it seems they could be going hero-thief route like diabolik or Lupin 3rd
