Today I actually DJ'd for the first time in forever, since the girl who was supposed to come in was sick this morning. She came in after about an hour though, some sort of stomach sickness.

Then I made labels for cassette tapes the DJs will do their airchecks on.

Now I'm finishing my Media History reading in my office so I can write a discussion post later. Gist of these history lessons, courtesy William David Sloan's Media in America: A History, Eighth Edition: Everyone was trying to censor everyone else back in the day. When they couldn't, they burned shit.

I still need to do my exercises. Skipped yesterday because I fell asleep and then fell asleep again after reading a bit. I swear, I can read for ages on my laptop, but a book takes me forever. Anyway, going to do hill sprints, some couch to 5K and then my usual weight lifting. Or might decide to say Thursday was a rest day and only do weight lifting today and cardio tomorrow. Yeah, that sounds like a better idea.

Hopefully, I'll get some time with friends and maybe some gaming in. I still need to buy a decent Gamecube controller. The Game X Change here only sells knock-off Wavebirds; mine's left trigger doesn't work. At least it's better than my actual wired Nintendo controller that has a joystick unable to be moved straight up, but it's still annoying and makes sections of Viewtiful Joe and Spider-Man 2 unplayable.

So laptop it is, I guess. Might start (and even finish) Hotline Miami on Steam.

I still have my original Wavebird and a whole box full of GC wired controllers, both first party and Madcatz. I even have a kiddy sized one that I bought when my son was little.

I'd mail you one but the postage would kill me.

Yeah, I'll probably just get one off Amazon. Every single GCN controller I own has a problem.

Nintendo: Joystick only lets you move up diagonally, making Zelda a pain in the ass.

MadCatz: It decides when it wants to fully work or not at all completely randomly.

Wireless knockoff: trigger doesn't work.

wavebirds go for a lot of money.  I guess they only made so many of them.  Mine is broken too.  Pisses me off.

Nice title!

It's not a Wavebird, it's a knock off wireless from Yobo.

And thanks! I'm trying to make these blog titles references to movies, books, tv episodes etc. corresponding w number of the blog. Weekend stuff will be "non-canonical."
