First a question.

Why do we continue to buy games when we have a backlog the size of Everest?

I know in my case I will resolve not to buy another game but then Steam, Humble, GOG or PSN has something on sale and I'm Must...Buy...Mass...Quantities.

Then I promptly forget what I've bought and the cycle continues.

In other news I got a library card today and promptly checked out the eBook for the first Strain book. Why because I like the show, I've read the first graphic novel and Nici told me too. I'm very suggestible. I haven't had a library card in years and now that you can borrow digitally I'm all over that.

I thought I had a breakthrough in Persona Q but it appears my strategy was flawed. Fuck it! There's no logical way through the room I shall kill one of the FOEs and move on.

I need to make some progress in Suikoden II this weekend too and possibly some RE but we'll see how it goes.

Tami did seven random facts about herself yesterday so I'll do one.

1. I was born in Bolton, Lancashire in the North of England and lived there until I was 12 when I was dragged kicking and screaming to Toronto, Canada.

Soon as I can afford it I'm getting my own place.

I feel sorry for the people aboard the airplane to Toronto when you were at full kick/scream mode.

It was a ship from England to Montreal. 6 days on the water had pretty much taken all the fight out of me so the short flight to Toronto was pretty quiet. :)

oh really you rode a ship across the ocean?  I've always fantasized about doing that.

Yeah, I don't know about this game buying addiction.  There's a couple games lately on my steam wishlist I've almost bought, but I've won out... for the moment.

It was only my mum and sister with me on the ship. My dad flew over months before us to find a job and get us an apartment

Buying impulse is a powerful and harsh mistress Peter.

So, were you a chore for your parents and the staff on the boat travel? Tongue Out

Don't have much of a physical backlog, and I've got to finish up some eShop games once I finish up Persona Q.

I'd probably be a lot happier if I knew the answer to that backlog question. Every month it's the same thing. Yesterday I bought Final Fantasy IV on Steam despite owning the PSP version already. I wasn't aware you were in Canada. I just assumed you still lived in England.

I guess it's just what we do. LOL Many people are confused by the London thing but it's not the real London. Smile

I've gotten better about buying things I never play. It's hard to convince myself that the game I want won't disappear the day after it releases.
