I never played Twin Snakes. I love the ps1 version of MGS though. It's such a classic game. Sometimes I say the first is my favorite while other times it's MGS 3. All I know for sure is expect a visit from GH lol.

Rather than raise the child, they decide to let it sit in front of the TV and play video games all the time, its favorite game being Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for Nintendo Gamecube. This thing playing games in their living room all the time leads to the perpetual surprise of their cat, Muffintop Mr. Whiskers Tha Thang.
Twin Snakes is the remake of the Playstation classic, Metal Gear Solid for Nintendo Gamecube, complete with updated graphics, Easter eggs for Big N and MGS fans, and the ability to go into first person to shoot, in order to piss off fans of the original game during the Ocelot boss battle.
When we were your age, we played Live Bullet Battleship to Guess Where Ocelot's Bullets Went, After Walking Three Miles, Uphill, Both Ways in the Snow, and We Liked It Dammit!
- Everyone who played the original Playstation title
I did play the original Playstation version as well as the VR Mission from time to time, but only when my older brother and parents decided it was a segment I was allowed to see; mostly, I sucked at it, anyway, and couldn't get past the first part once Snake comes up from the water, so I wasn't annoyed I was missing out on the gameplay, it was those awesome cutscenes I wasn't able to see. I knew they were there, cause I had seen the opening, and overheard them, but it seemed like a lottery on whether I could sneak in and watch them. Especially since, at the time, the graphics were pretty stunning.
I think at some point when I was older, I actually did manage to beat the original game on its original system, but my memory is vague, and I'm not entirely sure.
What I do know is that thanks to a mutual respect between Kojima and Miyamoto, I was able to rent the Twin Snakes version of the game on the first system I ever paid for on my own, the Nintendo Gamecube. I was not only able to play this game I had been partially banned from (truth be told, my older brother grew lax about it enough that I saw the bloody Cyber Ninja sequence without much fuss), but I was playing its updated version, with enhanced graphics, on a system I was a bit of a fanboy for at the time, even if I always liked my brothers' Playstations as well.
"You look different. Have you lost weight?"
"Why thank you, yes I have, but shhh, they're looking for us."
"Oh right, sorry."
Playing through it, I remembered just how much of my brother's playing I actually did manage to see, while encountering new things to find in the game.
I remembered the boss battles with Sniper Wolf, Raven, Cyber Ninja, even the ending, but because I was the one playing, I felt much more of a connection to the story and what was happening, since I was enjoying it all in one piece as opposed to fragments when I happened to pop in the room. On top of that, I was treated to the Psycho Mantis boss battle dialogue being tailored to my Gamecube memory card, telling me I played a lot of Super Smash Bros. Melee and didn't save very often. That was because I got through this game surprisingly quickly, despite how bad I was at its original form on the Playstation. Plus, there were other Easter eggs for Nintendo fans.
He's got me pegged.
There are a few changes, like the Ocelot battle, from the original, but I can't really remember them right now. Mostly it's just a prettier version of Metal Gear Solid made for Gamecube. Most people still prefer the original, and I certainly respect that and can see why, but I'm glad I got to play the game for myself, and on my own system, no less.
And now, Psycho Mantis presents:
