hmmm, i think sometimes you DO have to force yourself to have fun.  especially as you get older.  

Is it really forcing at that point, or do you really mean just scheduling time TO have fun?

i have a hard time focusing, even on the things I like.  I need to really force myself to focus on a single thing at a time sometimes.  making music is easy for my concentration for some reason, but everything else I do I really need to slow myself down and focus.  I wish I read more because i really enjoy it when I do.  but I don't.  

Hmmm yeah. I guess I have enjoyed some books I've more or less forced myself to read. But forcing myself is the reason I don't come back to books often enough. I just need to find the right one that really grabs me and doesn't feel like a chore.

If your doing something that you dont wanna do, your forcing yourself. Whether its gaming or not. I however very few times ever feel like a game is an obligation. I either play it when I want and I like it or dont and it goes Bye Bye. I agree that forcing yourself isnt good to do. I also agree with the reading statement. There was alot of kids who liked reading in my school but didnt like the required reading. I was weird...I read everything and it was good to me. Well except for maybe 2 of the books.

To be honest, I liked required books .. when we got to pick which ones were required.

I know how you feel. My backlog probably wouldn't be nearly so insane if I didn't play what I felt like all the time, but I don't want to force myself to play through stuff. I've done that before and it felt like I was just going through the motions.

Yeah, that's the thing about my Steam games ... I feel obligated to play all that shit I payed for.
