Yesterday I went over my original X-Box games and it make sense to continue with Microsoft for today’s edition of Blog A Day, so welcome to my 360 Library. Where are my manners? Hello Pixlbit how is your Thursday treating you? I have to say so far my Thursday is going well. I took in the new episode of Arrow last night and this was the first time I actually watched an episode as it aired. Before that it was all Netflix and CW App. The one disappointment I do have is that my cable doesn’t offer the CW in HD. Blah! Anyways enough of my show based loosely based off a comic, it’s not Quick Hits so it’s all video games! Let’s get started with my 360 library.

Thanks to Instagram I know that I bought my 360 around a year ago. I believe my can of loose change paid for the majority of the console price, and again it happened around the time of GameStop’s Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale so I stocked up on a bunch of games. I tried to follow my original X-Box’s goal of finding console exclusives, and maybe a game here and there I already own for the PS3.

I do love the dual case games. I don’t know if I own them all but these are the ones I could find locally. I went through speed runs of Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones and I have to say this time around I didn’t find Lego Indy as frustrating as before. Saints Row: Gat out of Hell – I bought the complete digital version of Saints Row IV on the 360 (that game is freaking hilarious) and decided to keep Gat in the same family. This is a much better DLC than the ones packaged with SRIV. If Microsoft made a handheld version of Saints, this would be it. It’s a striped down version of the full game but still a lot of fun. Halo 3 Collector’s Edition – GameStop pick up that was the same price as the regular version. Call of Duty Ghosts – Ok this is the only digital game I will talk about here because it has a case. This is one of my favorite CoD games because I thought the story was good. I also fought through some dizzy spells to continue within the game.

NCAA 07 March Madness – I think I have two copies of this game because I just forgot I already owned a copy. I usually try and find the worst team to lead to a National Title and for this game I think I went with San Jose State.

Madden 09 – I picked it up because it was a buck and I tend to buy all the Madden games on both 360, PS3 to keep my run going of Madden games. Project Gotham 4 – I think I finished the Tin Medals portion of this (unless I’m thinking of PGR 3). I do love Project Gotham. Shift 2 Unleashed – I loved the first game, and I played a lot of the Shift 2 on the iPad so when it came time to play this game I was already a bit burned out on the series. Crackdown – I dig the concept of super strong cops who hunt down the bad guy and clean up the streets. I finished this game but once that was done there were no criminals to take down so it made playing the game after finishing the story a bit useless. Godfather II – What I said about Shift could also apply to Godfather. I played a bunch of the PS2 game but then just got tired of it. I love the movie franchise (yes even 3)

Mortal Kombat – Yeah I have the regular version and the version with everything. I can’t remember where I bought the complete edition, but I knew I already owned the regular edition but wanted all the goodies and I think if I had bought the DLC individually it would have cost more than just rebuying the game. Dreamcast Collection – I couldn’t find my plugs to my Dreamcast so this was a nice fix until I bought replacement cables. The funny thing is that I own the original versions of those games.

Star Trek – I actually played a bit of this game but stopped. I either lost interest or I found something much more interesting to play. Medal of Honor Warfighter – Since I’m trying to get myself used to playing FPS games and I like Medal of Honor. I’m halfway through this game, and I think I got stuck on a night mission. Gears of War games – My cousin loves X-Box and he was telling me about this game and I played a bit and enjoyed it. When I first bought my 360 this franchise was on the “must buy” list. Transformers War For Cybertron – I forgot which one of you good Pixlbit folks told me about it but thank you again. Such a fun game, but the Autobots portion it feels like I’m grinding along trying to make progress. A little disclosure: I sided with the Decepticons for the toys because they had better figures. Seriously how is a truck more fun than a tape player that shoots out microcassettes that turn into a dude who creates earthquakes, a bird, and a panther (way before the rhino, and other tapes) Max Payne 3 – I wasn’t too thrilled about this game. I liked the first one, skipped over the second, and now he’s just a drunk trying to stop the bad guys in what looks like something ripped off the 80s drug fueled Miami Vice Universe.

Test Drive Unlimited – I actually Beta Tested this on the PS2 when developers would send you a demo disc and they wanted you to overload their servers. The game is ok, its set in Hawaii where it was supposed to be an open world racer. I had to quit the beta two weeks in because I was going to Hawaii. Oh the irony. Need for Speed: The Run – I already played the hell out of the 360 version and my only goal for this game was to take over any records my cousins had on the 360 (I did). Mass Effect Series – Another one of those must buy franchises. I need to jump back into the original and continue whatever I was doing. Forza Horizon – I absolutely love this game! Everything about it is solid, and I like looking for all the hidden items as well as just driving through the environment. Perfect Dark Zero – It’s a collector’s edition and I didn’t really look through the contents, I just wanted the game.

More FPS games. If you’re gonna play them you might as well play them on the console built for them right? Just Cause – I enjoyed JC2 on the PS3. It was so much fun going through the story, blowing everything up and then once that was finished I continued with taking down bad guys and roaming around with my parachute (See Crackdown, you should have done this too). Glee w/Microphone – Yeah I bought the game so I could use the microphone with the Rapping game. Fable Series – Another must buy series from what I was told. I started a bit of Fable II but haven’t gone back. Fable and Mass Effect require a lot of time, and most of the time I don’t want to devote that much time to a game. Sorry Fable/Mass Effect fans.

Saints Row – I never played this game and what I find interesting is that you have to fill up a meter in order to unlock the next chapter in the story mode. To fill this up you have to do things like take over buildings and other jobs. It’s not as over the top as SRIII or IV but I think the creators were still trying to find their place among the GTA Clones. Vancouver 2010 Olympics – This game was a lot harder than I thought. The Speed Skating and the Slalom courses in Skiing are my favorite events. Table Tennis – I remember when this game was a big deal because Rockstar made it. The game itself isn’t bad but not worth the hype.

Lego Franchise – They are slowly becoming my Madden games where I have to own a copy on every console that I have. If I had a second 360 controller I’d make a run at whatever X-Box calls their Platinum trophy on Lego Marvel. Lego Batman 2 is being held back because I can’t find the last minikit in the level where the Joker chases Batman and Robin through Gotham. Viva Pinata – I already own the game in one of the doubles packs but I wanted a stand-alone version.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance – I own the second version on PS3 (why is it so expensive now?) and even though I like the concept of the game, this one just didn’t click with me. Otomedius Excellent – This game is a bit odd. There are anime chicks sitting on top of Gradius ships and it’s a regular Shoot’em Up. It kind of reminds me of that Star Wars Pod Racer game where the characters had huge heads and are sitting in mini versions of Pod Racers.

I forgot to add these games in my library pictures.

Well Pixlbit that is my 360 libraries. I have a bunch of games in digital on the hard drive but other than Ghosts I’m trying to focus on the Physical copies.

That’s all for now, more tomorrow!

-Chris

The 360 was probably my favorite console of last generation.

Hey you have that original Viva Pinata too. I bought it day one and played it for a while. I really couldn't get into it.

You can respawn all the gangs in Crackdown so you can fight them again. Have you collected all the agility and hidden orbs?
