I had fun with Mirrors Edge, I don't think I've played that many first person platformers other than the Prime games. Kirby is a blast and a hoot with more people, I tried it with my bros and it was fun. As for Galaxy 2, cannot agree any more.
My Top 5 Platformers of Last Gen

Platformers are easily one of my favorite genres. They're simple, yet offer so much fun stuff to do. So I thought I'd give a list of my five favorite, 2D or 3D included.
5. Mirror's Edge
Mirror's Edge is definitely one of the more divisive games of last gen. Some people say it didn't work, others, like me, loved that game. I do agree it's hard to get a sense of what you land, but the thing is the level design is good enough where I don't really need to. The game guides you with plenty of subtle hints so you always know where to jump next and that you can make it, you just have to get the timing right. And that moment where you just run nonstop, running and jumping at all the right moments is such a thrill.
4. Kirby's Return to Dreamland
What I love about this game so much more than the other Kirby titles is how it does the best job of offering optional challenge. If you want to collect all the parts, you have to use your powers wisely and be prepared for some tough optional rooms. Pair that with powers that feel as satisfying as beating the crap out of someone in Smash Bros and the whole game is a blast from start to finish.
3. Sly Cooper 4: Thieves in Time
It really was more Sly Cooper, but I feel the developers did enough with the formula that this would be warranted. Sly's ancestors were all very fun to play as while the platforming was both numerous and balanced different types of it very well. One second it's about exploration, the next it's about timing while climbing on a wall. Good stuff.
2. Rayman Legends
About as perfect as games get. Gorgeous art design, creative levels, and design so good that they made underwater stealth sections fun. The best 2D platformer I've played since Sonic 2.
1. Super Mario Galaxy 2
One of my all time favorite games, the level design, variety polish, and challenge would be enough to warrant a spot on this list. But with the addition of the physics turning conventional platforming on its head, the game was able to offer something fun and familiar with a complete breath of fresh air at the same time. Best Wii game hands down.
