I'm told there are other games like this on the App Store but Earn to Die 2 seems pretty unique to me. Well, not in theme—it's the zombie apocalypse!—but certainly in structure. You're trying to get from the west coast of the United States down to Florida to join the other survivors. It's a long road! So you jump in your piece-of-junk car and see how far you can get. Naturally, this game isn't very realistic. You earn money from running over zombies that you can spend to upgrade your ride, like a bigger gas tank or a better transmission or armor to protect you from the zombies. There are eight categories in all to upgrade and you can get new vehicles altogether later on. I've seen pictures lol.

Anyway, you drive as far as you can and then...somehow...you get back to your garage where you can spend your earnings on upgrades (realism!). Then you head out again to try and get a little farther. After about ten tries I made it to the first checkpoint where I set up a new garage, i.e., a new starting point. Now that may sound like a lot of attempts but Earn to Die 2 does a good job of making each run feel worthwhile. I always made enough money to upgrade something each time and always made it a little farther. And the "road" is hardly a boring straight shot either. There's been an apocalypse, after all. Multiple paths also help keep things interesting. When you're driving you can accelerate and adjust the tilt of your vehicle (you'll be getting a good bit of air). I just bought a booster too.

Overall I've really enjoyed my time with Earn to Die 2 so far. Judging by the size of the map and the distance I've traveled so far—just made it to the second check point!—this game will probably last for quite some time. Those zombies won't know what hit 'em
