I wrote some articles for plus10damage.com:

Yesterday I did no gaming, but had a great day.

Found out my thesis committee doesn't meet until next week, only had a protein shake, some sushi and chicken, did my exercises, got all the CDs with new music we need at the station to keep me busy, and read 1/2 chapters I need to in my Media History book.

Today I woke up early to have a protein shake, went to my 8:30am meeting with the Stats Prof on my thesis committee, and am currently listening to/screening music in my office. My helper monkey (guy I'm training for my job once I leave/graduate in May) comes in at noon. Good times.

You?

I feel better today.  I'm actually looking online for a 4 track cassette multitrack for music.  Kind of want to go low-fi and analog for a bit, if i do any music at all.

It's interesting to hear your thoughts on the PS4. Consoles are becoming more and more like PCs, except not nearly as good in some ways, yet better in others. I'm pretty much done with all of that besides the 3DS and what I got now. Plus Steam. I was looking forward to Teletubbies in Time though. Sealed

I think I made that title up. Though I would totally play a re-skin of Turtles in Time with Teletubbies beating the shit out of each other.

How about Teletubbies vs. Pikmin; be like watching red and black ants fight.

Nice PS4 article. Me I'm so used to setting up new devices that it all seems very run-of-the-mill to me. I do get pissed off at new game that make you install and then force you to create a Uplay account to play them. I bought your game assholes, now leave me the fuck alone. That kind of setup really grinds my gears.

It was pretty typical set-up, I agree, but as someone for whom this is the first personally owned console since the Gamecube like myself, it was a bit of a "culture/time shock" to be "setting up" a gaming console.

I hate that U-play stuff. I ignore it when I see it. If it made me sign up, I wouldn't.

I did something to make a u-play sign pop up in Rayman Legends yesterday. Not sure what though.

I saw it in Valiant Hearts and Child of Light. Ignored it both places. Seriously, I have to sign in to so many things already, I don't need another one.

Two very interesting articles. I can compare myself to your choice of getting a PS4 with my choice of going for a Wii U instead, since it was more out of love and preference with Nintendo.

I wouldn't say I was a caveman as much as I was a 6th gen gamer stuck on the 7th gen because of only having the Wii as a console preference. In fact, I can also compare that, since my rational mind wanted an Xbox 360, but in the end I went for the Wii. I also played a bit of catch-up with Steam.

I'd say that the Wii U and 3DS are the only "pop and play" consoles we have this gen. They don't require much setting at the beginning and you can leave the wi-fi functions later. That's kind of a thing with the newest consoles, since gaming is becoming more complex and online is rearing its head (ugly or not, depends on your look).

No shame is having your Steam or PS4 show you are playing Teletubbies in Time Tongue Out

I need to make that Teletubbies in Time game. Seems like a popular idea. lol

And I plan to get a Wii U down the line after Zelda and Star Fox release ... and I have a much more reliable income.

If Sony would make and release Loco Roco 3, I'd buy a PS4 (or Vita) instantly.

And thanks for telling me about those YouTube fitness videos.

Welcome.

I never played a Loco Roco game.

I get the reasoning behind you and spending money. When I do the coin can stuff the price of a video game console doesn't hurt as much because it's money that is just normally sitting on the floor so its free cash.

I think I'm feeling self conscious about playing an older 2k game instead of the most recent game Tongue Out. I'm actually use to having people know what I am playing. I think being around the PS3/Vita, and more recently the 360 with its overshare stuff did this to me. Heck I used to have the Facebook feature activated that when I earned a trophy it would post on Facebook. That quickly got annoying so I shut that off.

I would not wish my Rayman Legends insanity on any of my Facebook friends.

I kind of wish that Facebook thing still worked the way it used to. Every time you got an achievement you could quickly choose to share it or not. Now you have to sign in to Facebook first. Forget that. Too many steps.

What if you're already signed into facebook through your device? I might try that.

Is that under the share button? I don't think I have ever used that feature on the PS4. I can imagine my friends on Facebook saying "He's playing NBA 2K14 again?"

No button on the controller I don't think. On PS4, you have to open Facebook from a menu.

On 360 it used to be right on the achievements page. You'd hit the center button, choose achievements, then a specific one, and then there was an option to share achievement. You only had to sign into Facebook once and you'd be on every time you signed into Live. Now that's not the case. I guess it's ok though. No one on my Facebook really plays games much except for like three people. Makes me wonder why I still use it. Oh yeah, family.
