damn 44 gigs. Games are huge these days.
I need to get back into playing that. It's amazing how attached you can get to your character you create. I was really attached to my Mass Effect character, but that was three games.

I'm 38 gigs into a whopping 44 gig install. Lucky for me though, the game allows you to play the first parts of it while it finishes downloading and installing itself. I decided to give it a rest and watch a little TV before the boyo comes homes from school to tackle his homework. I'm trying to make it a point to not have anything he might take an interest in on the TV while he knocks out his "pages".
I tried to cancel my Gamefly subscription for next month today...and when asked why, I chose the option that stated I'm unable to pay for the following month. So what does Gamefly do? They give me this next month for FREE.
Gratis.
Sin dinero.
Thanks Gamefly!!!
I started a new character out of necessity. This time, I rolled a human rogue. I'm a bit surprised to see though that even when I get behind an enemy, I don't see any backstab animations and I don't see a damage increase modifier. Makes me wonder if the rogue was nerfed?
It can get tough at times playing on casual mode. First enemy that comes to mind is a high dragon...they're no pushovers at all on casual. I've not fought a single one yet that didn't make me burn through all of my healing and regen potions and scramble around to revive 3 dead party members who were more or less DPS dealers and "cannon" fodder.
Hot damn that's a cool papa. Not teasing your kid with something cool on the television while he has to his homework. Props man.
How cool is that when companies do that? Hulu gave me a free month because I wanted to quit, but I quit a month later anyways. The cool thing is that these companies will take steps like that to help out their customers, and that's how you build loyalty.
He doesn't know any better.
Far be it for me to deny him ANY KND OF GAMING.
Xander would probably lose a little piece of his soul if I did.
The biggest thing for me...is realizing that he won't be the wunderkind I was at his age. The caveat: he'll probably make more money in his lifetime than I will.
Trade-offs. ;)
