In which we vote for the most shittiest gaming news that makes us all cry with giant Anime eyes.

1. Pokemon Shuffle

Love it or hate it, Nintendo finally enters modern times and how does it show it, with it's first crap free- to-play cheap mobile game 'candy crush' knock off cash grab featuring their famous Pokemons to lure us all in. Available now on 3DS eShop  and did I download it? You fucking betch'a! Oh! Comes complete with in-game transactions! Yeah!

2. Order : 1886

This originally scheduled as PS4 launch title featuring werewolf hunters in Victorian steam punk England was delayed last year for quality control or whatever but it wasn't for adding content, because some asshole blew his load too early and played through the entire game and finished it in 5 hours, apparently after torrenting a dev build, what the fuck Sony--fix your security problems first-- er'body in line to buy the game full price is now evacuating their GameStop store fronts faster than that mob of 200 horny teen girls storming their local mall cineplex to watch that dirty 50 Shades of Grey movie they were too young to watch.  Next time, Sony should add 50 Shades of Grey DLC in which Tesla tortures werewolves with nipple clamps and whips or whatever with a season pass that adds more torture instruments, and hire 200 horny teens to manage security.

3. Peter Molyneux is a fucking liar!

I don't know anything about Peter Molyneux, but the internet tells me he is a wolf in sheeps clothing or at least wearing game developers clothing, possibly a wolf character in Order 1886 also, who likes to take money from chumps who haven't learned he's a scum bag liar or something. Not my words, the internets words and his own words from that god awful cringe worthyRock, Paper Shotgun interview that reads like rape scene from 50 shades of..., which once again ties into 50 Shades of Grey.

Now, if only I could add Pokemon Shuffle into the 50 Shades, torture sex room theme...

So now lets vote community, which is the worst news story, or would you like to possibly add one of your own?

Rule 34. Rule 34 everywhere.

The Order more or less isn't getting a big bad rep from length anymore. Pretty much it's reviews. Reviewers, majority of them anyway don't mention the length but how it's boring, has QTEs galore, and not alot of character development. It's meta critic is at 65 with user score as low as 5.6. Me and Dan was gonna nab it but decided to cancel and go for Bloodbourne. I normally don't give alot of reviews mind but with the recent flops and issues with games at launch I'm gonna hold off. The Peter Molyneux thing apparently the things being said on twitter are pointing at the interviewer calling them liars and assholes. I have no fucking clue who's in the bad on it. I just noticed things spike on twitter about it.

Things will clear up after while, just a few setbacks ^_^

Well, I don't want these things to get fixed. I want to turn this into a bi-weekly series and fixing all the game things would ruin it for me. I'll eventually play Order1886. I actually don't care about length all that much. I much prefer the short game nowadays and RE Remake is a short game and one of my all time favs. As for Peter Molyneux and Rock Paper Shotgun, you have to use a filter for RPS because they are British I believe and they tend to be more brutal with their media, and Peter Molyneux used Kickstarter to build hype for a game to get a partner, not necessarily to use that donated money to complete a game, but he made it seem like that was the case, so he is in the wrong, jerky interview or not.

I was hoping the Order might be a story I'd be interested in but a game full of QTE's No Fangyoo!

And you are finding out about number 3 much much too late Azreal.

I am late to the Molyneux party. I suppose y'all in the know have caught on to him by now.

It's a party you were better off passing on. He's been at it since the first Fable game. In his defence I actually liked that game. It just wasn't quite what he made it out to be.

From what i've seen, Cary actually seems to really like Pokemon Shuffle....

But anyway, seems The Order will be joining the Aliens: Colonial Marines club. Shame about it, since it looked quite fantastic on the setting and premise.

I don't know how much i'll pay attention to this series. I know gaming has problems, but man, there's more than just negativity.

Pokemon Shuffle is basically Puzzle Quest, or more accurately Puzzle n' Dragons on mobile which is super popular. The game isn't revolutionary or new, it's just a skinned version of PnD and it limits your amount of gameplay with a timer, which is fine if you just want to play a bit each day, but the game is built around leveling pokemon and grinding and you see the problem. Imagin play a regular Pokemon game where you had to level your pokemon by grinding, except you could only play battles with a limited amount of turns unless you spend real currency to buy more turns.

Nintendo said they wouldn't do this. But yeah, its a bad design for games IMO.

This series isn't just bitching for the sake of bitching. These news items are reflecting symptoms that hurt games and game development. Nintendos Pay To Win game is a bad idea for its console. Order 1886 might be longer than the outraged first believed, but from reviews it is a very 'last gen' game which is cause for worry on new gen systems, and KickStarter doesn't always have successful outcomes, watchout for deceivers. These  topics should be of interest and to gaming enthusiasts especially.

I know they should be discussed and be critical. It's just that personally, I wouldn't do a this very caustic aproach, but eh, it's your choice.

Its meant to be comical. Maybe that didn't come off too well? Oops!

I'm glad i'm not the only one hung up about that estrogenical smut 50 Shades of Crap, I read half of that book and was soo... I don't think there's a word because it wasn't disgust (I've read and seen worse) and not anger because it isn't worthy of that emotion.

Uh!

Well, I find it interesting that these books were on the top sellers list of my local Target store  like forever. They were put on the tops list by all those horny Target mommies(Ewww). Now I'm more suspicious about all those other books on the top sellers shelves targeted to womens. I would probably read them just to comment on current American tastes in reading selections. You could also approach it as a comedy.

The narration is (in the loossest terms) the comedy, the phrase "inner goddess" is used! XD

Wait there's a Candy Crush like game on the 3DS with Pokemon characters? This is something I would play and then complain about being a freemium game if it was on the iPad.

asrealasitgets

It's fine as a Candy Crush clone, but it has a timer that limits how long you can play. There is also in-app purchase system that gives you extra lives (more minutes on the timer) if you like. Its free, but is it really free? We as gamers must ask ourselves these questions too often nowadays!

Pokemon Shuffle really has a lot of annoyances that free-to-play iOS games have.  But I still downloaded it and I'll enjoy it for what it is.  I just won't succumb to paying any money for it.  That's why I didn't get into Rusty's Real Deal Baseball.  It looked like fun, but I'm not going to encourage Nintendo to nickel and dime us.  I do wish that Pokemon Shuffle and Rusty's Real Deal Baseball were full cartridge games with no in-game purchases.  I would've bought both of them that way.  At least we're getting a cartridge version of Puzzle & Dragon Z/Super Mario Edition. And at least Pokemon Shuffle doesn't have any in-game ads.

I try to keep as much of a positive attitude as I can, but I do have to say that right now, I'm not much of a happy gamer.  Nothing on the PS4 and Xbox One I want, only stuff on the 3DS and Wii U.  Things were a bit better a few years ago.  Oh well, I'm still going to enjoy the games I do like!

Do you think you would like the game if it wasn't pokemon themed? Would you still play it if it was some generic Creature artwork?

Because the game uses elemental advantages, if you are familiar with the Pokemon, it makes the game easier.  Familiarity breeds content.  That's just the Nintendo way.

The Nintendo story is the worst. It's sad to seem them go this route. Molyneux is a known bullshitter, and I knew The Order was going to be vapid on first sight. I didn't see anything that was interesting from an action game perspective, and the setting is just more fantasy gobbledygook. Vanquish was short but it was pure, fast gameplay that kept you on your toes.

On the other hand, the games media has fawned over equally shallow, cinematic rubbish before (and people keep buying it, which is why we keep getting it), so I think they are being disingenuous.

I'm with you on Nintendo being bad. I'm playing that Pokemon Shuffle game and you only get like five battles free per play through then you have to wait for the lives to replenish a long while before playing more. It's really annoying and I don't want to see more of their games do shit like that.

In the Wired Game/Life podcast last week Chris Kohler said Molyneux should now be "upgraded from a loveable clown, to a charlatan" over the Godus debacle. Sounds right to me.

I'm not familiar with Molynoux but the kickstarter stuff he's involved with seems to have made a lot of people angry and he really just made it worse.

1886 because I was excited for the game. I have it but I am going to return it to Amazon. It seems quality is the big issue in how it never stays consistent. The pacing seems to be its biggest problem.

So the gameplay visuals don't match the cutscenes? I was watching a Let's Play and Cutscenes of the game and I have to say that the cutscenes at least look very movie-like. It's very impressive, but I think that RYSE game did the same sort of thing for XBoxOne. It seems to be more of a demo to show off the systems capabilites. I'll eventually play it some day. Maybe a sequel will fix all the issues, or perhaps adding mulitplayer mode which everyone seems to be mad about.
