I ordered Grant Morrison's new opus, "Multiversity", which is a bunch of issues of new comics about the DC multiverse. Comics and multiverses go hand and hand these days, but there are few writers as good as Morrison, whom I'm a big fan of, maybe even more than Alan Moore... I can't tell.
This shit isn't for everybody... it's very psychedelic and mystical and metaphysical. But this is the sort of stuff I'm into.
I've only read one so far, the one below, "Pax Americana". This includes characters from Watchmen in a kind of alternate universe. Pretty interesting.
Reading these have really put me in the mood for comics again, which is a really powerful medium. But I have to be very selective, as I'm not impressed with most writers.
I just ordered two more Multiversity comics I must have missed before. Very excited about these.
Anyway, it's Saturday and we're celebrating my mom's birthday today. I went out this morning to buy some supplies for me: a pizza for lunch, wine, cheese, salami, etc. Should be a good day.
