A Very Lazy Sunday

Spent yesterday waking up at 6AM to head to the Society of Professional Journalists roundtable in Ft. Worth, Texas from Nacogdoches, then go back after eating at Rudy's in Arlington. That BBQ hled me over pretty much the whole day. The night before I had to rush my resume edits because I stupidly agreed to go with the running club to the Planetarium; which was soooooo relaxing I had a borderline spiritual experience on that almos-nap; and then to the bar. But I only stayed until Mavs-Rockets went to half and a boxing match we were watching was over, so waking up wasn't too bad.
Anyway, I had fun talking to the alternative press people for Fort Worth Weekly, Dallas Voice, and Throw'd, found out Brett Shipp of WFAA went to Stephen F. Austin and had a good time talking to him, and met Todd Unger and a few Marketing/PR people. Got some business cards and will be sending some resumes and adding folks on LinkedIn. Then Rudy's, we all shared ribs, brisket, creamed corn, spicy beans, and some jalapeno sausage. Old school eat on butcher paper stuff.
I also got a free lunch at the thing because someone else didn't show up to get the one they paid for. Well thank you for the Subway ham sandwich I ate later on at night and the cookies and chips too, oh lazy person. Didn't eat the Italian bread though. So I avoided some of the carbs. And the chips were baked. I actually prefer the taste of those to the greasy ones. Especially when it comes to original Lay's flavor. Sugar cookie was good too.
I also went to a coffee house called The Standpipe in Lufkin after getting back and writing a discussion post for my class in Nacogdoches. Rainy as hell this weekend and hard to drive in, plus the radio keeps going in and out.
Anyway, today I woke up to open the radio station, wrote my editorial, read a chapter of my Media History book this week, took a nap and am currently listening to the new Nerds Without Pants with Oscars in the background.
I may do my hill sprints later or save them for the morning before my weight lifting and go to running club at night. How are all of you?
