Happy Wednesday Pixlbit Nation! I am jazzed because hopefully later on today I am hitting the mid week Swapmeet. Yes the fun and excitement of looking through a bunch of junk and hopefully finding something interesting, and cheap. I hope fake Lego lady has some new stuff, the lady that sells video games has a Gamecube memory card, and any randoms selling Lego will have actual Lego for decent prices. Since I haven’t taken pictures of my original Playstation library I will go with my smallest Sony library and that is for the PS4.

I bought the PS4 a couple of months ago because using my coin can rule I had enough change on my floor to make the price of the PS4 $90 out of pocket. Looking back I should have waited an extra week to take advantage of Black Friday and get the PS4 Grand Theft Auto V pack but I didn’t so I bought a regular console. I actually bought a couple of games for it a week or two before when I was in Arizona. Add that I also have PS+ so starting off I already had a decent sized library of digital games. Anyways let’s get to my games

NFS Rivals Complete Edition: I shouldn’t have bought the PS3 version of this a month before because I knew I wanted to get it for the PS4 but I couldn’t wait. I do like this game because its racing and it has the cop mode which I will rarely use. My one major gripe about this game and every other game it seems like on the PS4 is that it relies on being online all the time. I don’t like that games force you to do this, it doesn’t add to my experience, and if I wanted to play online I would. Hopefully this is just a fad. inFamous Second Son: I enjoyed the first inFamous and I recently found out that this isn’t Part II, and I have owned the actual Part II which I am occasionally playing on the PS3. Second Son is more of the same of the collecting powers, taking down the bad guy, and reclaiming the city for the people. I took a break from this game and when I went back to it I was a bit rusty so to get back into the inFamous mood I started playing inFamous First Light, the prequel storyline to one of the characters in Second Son. Once I finish that I should be able to jump back into Second Son and finish the game. Putty Squad: This is a cute platform game where you play as a blob who in every level has to absorb items to help it accomplish all the tasks for that level. There’s nothing too difficult about this game, but it is fun in short bursts. Battlefield 4: This is the most recent game I knocked off of the PS4 portion of Mount Backlog. I had a bit of trouble in a certain portion of the game but going through a second playthrough on a couple of levels and I found it much easier because I know what to expect.

FIFA 15: I bought it more for playing with my brother. I haven’t played much of it since buying it but I’ll get to it and start a Franchise. Watch Dogs: I am disappointed with this game. I thought there would be more to it and hopefully it gets better as I dive deeper in the game. Killzone Shadow Fall: I just started this game so I really don’t have any real opinions on it. Madden 25: One of the first games I bought for the console. I know that early EA games on new consoles are terrible so I wasn’t expecting much, and so far it isn’t bad. I am around 6 or 7 games into my season with the Dallas Cowboys. NBA 2K14: This is the game I am getting the most play out of the library. I’ve been bitter with again having to be connected to the Internet to be able to access Franchise, and Player mode. I had to restart my franchise and player modes a couple of times because it could not connect to home base. I’m playing as what I like to call the Super Knicks because I got rid of Carmelo and whoever was running point for Paul George and Steph Curry. JR Smith is having a monster year, and a couple of my bench players are made of glass and are sitting on the DL.

Call of Duty Ghosts: I already played this on the 360 but I loved it so I went back for more on the PS4 plus I get to have a physical copy. Its your typical FPS where you shoot the bad guy in normal terrain but also space and underwater. Who knew regular guns can work in environments without oxygen. Marvel Super Heroes: This was a Black Friday pickup. I already played through it on the PS3, but this game was my first PS4 Platinum Trophy. I got over the hurdles I had with the races, and what I learned from it I used on the PS3 to earn Platinum. It’s a fun game with your typical Lego Franchise experience and tons of characters. Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes: Let’s call it what it really is, a trailer/demo for the next Metal Gear installment. Sure you have a mission and swanky cut scenes but there really isn’t much to this demo. Sure you can go back and play side missions but there isn’t a lot going for this “game”. UFC: I bought this game because I enjoyed the previous versions but the two big reasons that I wanted to play this are for two fighters: Rowdy Ronda Rousey, and Bruce Lee. I need to start a career mode on this game so I can justify my purchase.

Well there it is folks, my PS4 collection. I think I have a solid collection after three months. I’ve found that I’m becoming a little more selective when it comes to this console. Games that I’ve wanted to play like Drive Club and The Crew have been soured by the whole always online aspect, and I’ve ben waiting for something that is a must play other than the next installment of MLB The Show. I am in no way complaining that there isn’t anything to play because I have quite a few games that I haven’t even finished and I am using this time (when not playing as the Super Knicks) to catch up.

Before I end this blog I saw a link to this story on my Twitter feed and I thought I would share it

I do like mobile games and it will be interesting to see how this game plays on a tablet. I can guarantee you its going to be a freeminum game and one that I would have gladly paid 4-5 bucks for instead of having to grind to earn in game cash to play. Other than that I can’t wait to give it a try.

Well I am off, have a good hump day!

That’s all for now, more tomorrow!

I'm glad someone finally called out Ground Zeroes! I love MGS, but I do not want certain precedents set!

If you can pick up a copy for $15 I'd say give it a shot but go in knowing that you are not getting a full game.

From what I've read, that's how Ground Zeroes came off to me as well.

That's why I didn't give it a try until I went with PS4. I figured I might as well see what the next installment of MG will be like.

I think you're really underselling how big a part the side stuff in Ground Zeroes is for the game. There's quite a selection of stuff to do. Not enough to justify $60, but that's why they didn't charge full price. If all you want is the story mission, that's fine. You're not wrong about that, what you want is what you want. But it still does offer enough content to justify existing

In my opinion I don't think Ground Zeroes was worth the $30 price tag either. I bought it at $15 and I feel that with the optional side quests and main story line that is the most reasonable price. I'm not saying it shouldn't exist, what I am saying is that it resembles more of a demo than full game. There are a lot of things the devlopers could have taken this product: turned it into eposodic content, throw in a digital comic, or bundled it with another game like they did with Zone of Enders on the PS2. Something that makes casual fans not feel cheated and want to explore more of the MGS universe.

I know Ground Zeros wasnt a full game but I dont regret spending 30 for it. It was worth it to me after the main mission and the extras that were on it. I know alot of people feel differently about it but I enjoyed it.

In the end that's all that matters. I like games that other people might not like and its ok to have different opinions.

I don't have a PS4 yet.  If Sony would make and release Loco Roco 3, I'd buy a PS4 or Vita instantly.
