Blog a day was kind of bust for me but to be truthful, I just got really lazy in the past week. Did my taxes, got a decent return back and I've been thinking about adding more RAM to my main desktop/gaming computer. Maybe I'll even take it a step further and upgrade my processor; this is most to due to the fact that the Witcher is going to need some faster than my i-5 3470 (3.2 GHz). Although it seems to be up to the task for the PC version of GTA V (I just want to replay it for the mods).
As for gaming, I downloaded a bunch of games on my computer over the weeked. Sonic Adventure 2 just for the nolgastic factor even though it has that horrible early 3D camera control. Payday 2, which I've been meaning to download since I bought back in August. Finally I downloaded Resident Evil: Revelations 2 with season pass which set me back $40. I was thinking about downloading it onto my PS4 but since the the physical version comes on the 17th this month, it saves me bandwidth of downloading everything twice. Early impressions, its actually pretty good; the game has tension, humor and a decent cliffhanger. However its badly optmized on the PC, frame rate drops constantly, no (official) local co-op and some micro transactions in the Raid mode (although I haven't really had the need to use any). I nearly forgot about Valkyria Chronicles, which is actually kind of fun for RPG.
I haven't really had the need to turn on my consoles though, the only time they're use is when my niece and nephews want to play Minecraft. Although the might see some action later this month with the likes of DMC: Devil May Cry- The definitive edition (unless it comes to the PC), Final Fantasy Type-0, Battlefield Hardline (unless it get for the PC as well).
In other news, well known music video director Joseph Kahn and producer Adi Shankar released their short film Power/Rangers. It pretty muchs takes our most violent yet colourful/cheesy childhood favorite t.v. and gives it a Grimdark makeover.
A part of me likes the direction of this video went; the years after the power rangers failed and becoming extremely flawed adults. The other half saw the parody of lot hollywood studios taking our childhood memories and trying to make them into these ultra dark films (Avatar: The last airbender, Transformers, Man of Steel, Snow White, and bunch of other properties I can't think of at the moment.) Not mention that there is a possible film reboot of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers coming in the future. It will be interesting to see how this short film influences the development of the MMPR reboot.
Anyways, have a good week.
