Not So GLaD, kinda Twitchy, Tormentum of Twitch

Well, I made a Twitch profile and recorded some footage of me playing Rayman Legends ... or so I thought. Don't see anything in my "past broadcasts." Hmm ...

I did make some good progress there though. I find I appreciate Rayman more when I just speed through levels as fast as I can instead of taking my time to make sure I find all the Teensies and get the gold cup for every stage. I can do all that later. Still digging the game's much faster take on "spy missions." You don't have to slow down, just don't be seen.

That was really all I played today after working and e-mailing my professor. Afterwards, I jogged a 5k in about 25-26 minutes, give or take. Then I did my weight-lifting after watching the SFASU Lumberjacks (my team) beat Incarnate Word at home. Something like 83-57, or along those lines. I did stay for the whole thing, I just know we won by a lot, but not how much specifically. I was on my way out the door to get to the rec center. Honestly, I hope we play a lot less sloppily on Thursday and Saturday against rival teams. Lots of playing too fast and poorly timed/planned/executed passes on both ends of the ball tonight, really.

I did get a code from MJoshua Caller to play point-and-click game Tormentum Dark Sorrow on Steam before it releases and I hope to get a review of it up.

In the meantime, please enjoy these editorials I wrote.

"Incarnate Word"?  that's a sports team?

You sound like you're gonna be sad when Rayman is over.  Well, I guess you have Origins still to play.

Yup, University of Incarnate Word Cardinals.

I won't be sad when Rayman's over, I'll be happy I beat it. lol

I thought Rayman Legends had tighter controls than many Mario games.

It has tight controls, but sometimes it goes a bit too fast and I hit the wrong button. For the mostpart it's great, I just don't like levels with that frog guy.

Yeah, Sony's security is quite a hack job.

I also grew up close to Sony and the Playstation, mostly thanks to my cousins who had the PS2 in my Nintendo 64 and Xbox years, and others who actually had the original Playstation. The only Playstation product I own is a PSP. Also when I decided to go for a Wii, I did had an urge for a PS3, since I also thought it had exclusives I wanted to play, though as destiny would have it I discovered the wonderful world of PC gaming. Now that I went for a Wii U instead of playing catching up with a PS3 or get a PS4, i'm not sure if i'll ever get a Sony console. I do want a Vita though.

Vita seems cool, but I keep hearing the library is a bit small.

Unless you also count PSP and PS1 games that you can play, it is a small library. Nowadays, it's pretty much used for indies, ports of 7th gen games and niche titles (mostly from Japan). It's mostly on the niche titles (like Danganronpa) and the digital catalogue of PSP and PS1 games that make interested in getting the console.

I think SDSU used to bring in Incarnate World to play us during exhibition season. Coach Fisher now brings in local San Diego schools so they can play on TV and get some exposure.

As much as I like Sony I don't trust them with my credit card. I always use their point cards when i want to buy something. It also helps with the impulse buying. If I'm on the fence and don't want to drive, I don't get the game(s).

Point cards? Need to look into that if it means not having my credit card on file with them. Though I'm sure now that they have it, I'm screwed on that either way. Yell

I too have been using point cards. MS got me on their system, but I've managed to avoid doing it on Sony's so far.
