Snowed in again, basketball dies, Diablo 3 UEE & Helldivers

The shitty weather reared its unyielding, indifferent head again and pelted my area with more snow and some ice yesterday. No work yesterday or today but the sun is out, in its in the mid-30s and some of this shit is starting to melt away so I predict I'll be back at work tomorrow. Which is fine. I just didn't want to have to travel or work in this mess while it was happening.

The basketball season for my school/workplace finally died off Tuesday night. The last game for 5th and 6th grade teams (initially scheduled for the past Saturday) was split up between Monday and Tuesday nights. It delayed me somewhat on both nights (meaning I finished later than usual) but it feels good to not have to deal with that shit for the rest of the semester. The only sporting events I'll have to worry about now is softball (all I have to do is clean the restrooms on the field, nothing else) and soccer (assuming it comes back, it'll take place on the football field and attendance is low).

I haven't watched much aside from recent episodes of Justified (still awesome) and Archer (ditto). I need to catch up on The Americans. This past weekend I rewatched Boyhood (which I adore) and A Walk Among The Tombstones. The latter is a modern day crime film with Liam Neeson as a P.I. and former alcoholic who gets a job investigating the wherabouts of two depraved bastards who like to kidnap women andhold them for ransom, only to sodomize, torture and kill them anyway. Not a pleasant story (the villains are truly despicable) but the writing and acting is good and Neeson for once doesn't have a role that's a version of his Taken persona. Also the most disturbing usage of Donovan's "Atlantis" since Goodfellas.

I got back into Diablo 3 UEE on PS4 this week and have enjoyed leveling up my Crusader. I think he's level 32 now. I do miss playing with others.

I hope I have a better chance with multiplayer on Helldivers, which is the new release for PSN. It's cross-buy/save on all Playstation platforms and it looks really tough but it can be fun with others. Has anyone else bought this? If so, let me know and we'll get together and scream at each other for accidentally shooting each other (yup, friendly fire is something to worry about).

I did not like Boyhood.

We got ice and snow in my area too. I had to call in last night. It should be safe for me to go tonight, which I'm glad because a new apartment is hard to keep up if you have to miss work. I have a copy of Diablo 3, if you want we can play some soon. I have a level 51 wizard. I don't have helldivers, I've been waiting to see what some people think of it.

Helldivers looks sweet! Is it co-op multiplayer only? I don't want to be called names when Im just trying to learn to play the game.

No, you can go at it single-player but it gets rough once you reach level 5 (where I'm at currently). Having teammates can make a difference. I was lucky to get some helpers on one match and despite how noobish I was at times, no one was using their mics. If you get it, let me know and we'll kill some space bugs!
