Girl Scout Cookies

They're on sale in the office upstairs and damn they're tempting. There were also free cupcakes, so I took one. I hate how those tiny sweets can set you back so many damn calories and with no protein to show for it really.

In other news, I'm hoping to go to a concert tonight. It's a local band I actually put on the radio when I saw them live the last time at the same place. This may not have been done sober.

Anyway, they e-mailed me .wav files of "Hero" and "Crimson and Cyanide" a while back and I got them on. You can listen to their stuff here: http://www.reverbnation.com/SleepJuliet

And the radio station I run here: http://ksauradio.com/

I love the venue as well, go there all the time on weekends. They've got great stuff on tap. Then it'll be running 6 miles 8am tomorrow morning for me. Feel free to take bets on my hungover 6 mile running time. Foot in Mouth

What are you all up to this weekend?

yeah but they taste so good!  Ah, I've been trying to cut back on stuff. I quit drinking those three dollar Starbucks doubleshot drinks. I love them, but....  trying to watch myself here, but not doing a great job of it.

Starbucks is open til 9PM, as are American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery in the student center of SFA. When we're working on a paper during a production night, it's hard to stay away. Luckily, the convenience store is open til 10PM and they have protein shakes. Which are way too damn expensive, as is Kroger's awesome Carbmaster milk.

I'm lucky in that I do not crave sweet stuff at all. I like chocolate but if it's not there I don't go looking for it. I'm more of a main course kinda guy. Rarely eat dessert.

What I'm up to will likely involve my new 3DS but I want to play some more of Danganronpa too.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer steak to dessert, but sometimes I just want candy.

I'm hoping once my Master's degree is finished I can get a decent paying job and buy me a New 3DS, Wii U, and Xbox One. Not sure though. Might be too busy to enjoy them.

My favorite Girl Scout Cookies are those peanut butter and chocolate ones. I forget what they're called.  Get-A-Longs or Ding-A-Lings or something.

And you be careful running out there!

I'm not running on ice. Nacogdoches is cold, but it's sunny. Thank you though.

Tag-a-longs. They're called Tag-a-longs.

I think the main point everyone should take from this adventure is the fact all three names could easily be sexual euphemisms.

I very rarely eat cookies anymore. Evil carbs.

My wife bought 4 boxes.  She didn't order any this year, but they got her buy selling the cookies at her work. Laughing

This weekend, my family and I are doing a bit of Spring cleaning.  We're cleaning out a couple rooms and throwing out a couple sofas, a mattress, a stove, and some rugs.  Saturday is going to be a long day.

Did you go to that concert? I love going to concerts at small venues. I saw Iced Earth at the House of Blues in New Orleans and it was awesome. I was like 10 feet away from Jon Schaffer. They played for like two hours. Laughing

So I'm a week behind but damn Girl Scout Cookies always sell. Thank goodness the neighbor's kids haven't come around yet because I'd have a stack of Thin Mints to go along with the cookies I bought in bulk from my baby cousin.

Yeah, those little fuckers need to come up with a healthier thing to sell. I'd love to support 'em, but they don't be needin' ta bring temptation 'round these parts, ya hear?!
