We're now a 2 New 3DS family.

I was talking to my son on Saturday and he was telling me about the sorry state of his original Zelda 3DS. The right shoulder button was not working properly and the cap had fallen off the analog stick.

Luckily he had some money left over from last year's corn detasseling so we went to EB and picked up another red New 3DS. He also took us out to dinner so that was nice. Now if he only had a job so he could pay us some rent that would be perfect.

We may get the old one fixed since it's a Zelda model and collectors will pay a premium for it. It all depends that it costs.

We tried to buy Majora's Mask but it is still sold out all over. Christien picked up a case with styli and stuff in it that just happened to contain a USB to 3DS cable. It's only two feet long which makes it unusable for charging and gaming at the same time but I might be able to find a USB extender then we're good to go.

Every child in my house wants a 3DS.  Damn shame none of the have a job or something, so they could buy their own.

How old is your son? You can give me a range. When I was little, I made money mowing lawns ... but it was my parents' lawn, so they wound up being the ones paying anyway. They got a discount though. lol

He finished high school years ago and other than 3 weeks of corn detasseling he has never had a paying job.

Nope, he sleeps all day and plays games all night.

Well the good news is he doesn't have as much debt as I do. That's certainly something I'd rather not have. lol

Yay for more New 3DS systems! I got kinda scared the other day when mine wouldn't read Theatrythym. The damn thing is not that old. I blew into the cartridge slot and that seemed to "fix" it though. Remember when companies had quality assurance? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I still love my current 3DS. It would be neat to have that new one, but I can't justify it to myself yet.

when it breaks then justify it.

Oops. Now it's justified.

Just kidding. I usually wait until there's something exclusive to the system that I just got to play.

Well in my case that game is Xenoblade Chronicles, a game I finished on the Wii after 120 hours and will gladly do so again on my new handheld. It's out on April 10th and I have it preordered. I won't be selling this one.

Hey I learned what Corn Detasseling is. It's all grapes and other vegtables here in Southern California.

I'm glad your son picked up a new 3DS and treated for dinner. Hopefully the repair costs on the old 3DS isn't a lot so you can get that second 3DS running like it was brand new.

My wife stepped on my son's 2ds and busted up the screen.  From what I gather, it'll be around 70 bucks to fix it by sending it to Nintendo.
