I was just wondering if anyone could share anything about it?

I've reviewed a couple of them.  They're really not that great.  Too much dialogue and text.

Do you have links to your reviews?

Isn't that the game that's like Zelda on the T16?

Can you offer a very brief synopsis of the series? Is Neptunia like famous in Japan or something? I know Atlus is putting out a couple of Anime games soon like Steins;Gate, but I don't know what the reference for Neptunia is? Is it a cartoon and are the games all RPGs?

I played the first one as a review copy for PixlBit. I thought it was pretty awful. Maybe the other ones are improvements, but the first was intolerable mostly because the actual gameplay was extremely convoluted and many of the video game references were contrived, rarely actually reflecting industry relationships or personalities.

Oh. So it supposed to have a satirical angle to everything? It just feels like Sailor Moon Gundam on acid. Maybe I'm being too harsh? Do they all have the weird pervy bouncy boobs, girl-girl kissing and baby faces? It's my first Neptunia experience and I'm just like...I don't even WTF? And I enjoy Anime by the way, so I like the aesthetics of the world and everything, but I don't know where the source for it all comes from withough doing more research? Is it based on Manga, Anime? I don't know if there are tons of Neptunia games out there or if it's just so generic and homogenous that it feels familair? This series is making me feel somethings but not sure what?

Well, there was the game series first and then they did an anime adaptation. Though not complete, I do recommend you to check Neptunia's entry on Tv Tropes if you would like to clear some doubts.

If you'd like to know, the PC and Vita remake of the first game apparently fixes the problems of the original release.

I have trouble believing that's possible. I was looking at something from a later game that had a good number of characters based on various developers, and I was ultimately left scratching my head. Even if I knew of the company that was being represented, the actual characters didn't have an appearance that matched up to any developer in most cases.

Beyond that, dungeons were very dull and straight-forward, and the items one migh acquire by reaching the end rarely seemed all that meaningful or useful. The game clearly wasn't for me, but beyond that, it seemed like there wasn't anything of value to experience at the core. "Fixing" the problems would be recreating the characters, rewriting the story, and creating a different engine and battle system. If they did all of that for quick remakes, I'd be shocked. Ultimately, because I've seen the characters in the newer games, I know they didn't handle at least one of those things. I will say I've seen in other cases the gameplay is different, so there is that.

"creating a different engine and battle system"...... They just did that. No really, acording to the info, they just took the gameplay of the third game and put it on the remake.

I'm quite interested in trying the games actually, especially on the console wars angle. Good thing the series is making its way on Steam.

They're kind of cheesy but enjoyable. Basically, this RPG series is a parody of the console wars. The characters represent Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Sega, and the individual developers involved in the Neptunia series.

I guess I'm the only one that never got into these? I need to catch on my niche Japanimes games.

I understand they're supposed to be a parody of the console wars, but when, in the very first game, they present Sega, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony to all be present, it's a pretty murky parody. It's been some time since I played it, but from what I recall, it actually had very little to do with the console wars in at least the English translation. More, it just seemed to have its own plot that didn't reflect anything that happened in the console industry in any meaningful way. That said, I didn't complete the game, so it might have picked up these qualities later. It certainly took it's time getting into it if that's the case.
