Though I've been floating around here I've mostly been sleeping, work is very tiring
But a few things have happened so I may as well share.
Gaming
Virtues Last Reward
I bought a New 3DS game, It's as fun as the first game 999, and as always the number puzzles are trippiing me up, It feels wordier than the last game but the story is so out there I don't care.
So far I have one ending.
For those who don't know, 999 on the DS and it's sequel Virtues Last Reward are narrative driven puzzle games involving 9 people trapped in a bunker forced to play a life or death game revolving the number 9.
I can't find my copy of 999 but I might play it again.
Yahtzee seems to like Majora's Mask, validation is always nice
Nintendo NX and Mobile games
While others have been claiming this is a sign of Nintendo throwing in the towel other sane people simply dismiss this as Nintendo doing what they've always done. Prepare for the future. I for one am excited.
I expected this for years but now it seems they've caved in, I hope they don't go crazy with freemium crap.
Mortal Kombat X
From the Trailers, it's still gruesome and silly as ever which is good (I mean have you watched the Cage Family trailer? Priceless) but i'm a little upset that Jax might be evil now, that would drive me insane, that always happens. A black character never survives or he survives in the worst way and it wouldn't be a noticeable problem if they weren't the only black guys there to begin with, this happened in the X-men movies, this happened in True Blood, this happened in Game of Thrones (the show mind, nothing to do with the book, making the one Black guy use a spear, these people are just stupid, yet they won't let what that guy said about Michele Obama pass even though her stupid make-up made the observation true.... But I digress)
Comics
The image above has caused an implosion of self-righteous bitching among as comicbook nerds, those crying sexism, rape, over-sensitivity and exaggerations. All for the 75th anniversary of the Joker.
Now for those who aren't clued in, that image might just make you think "that's a... pretty intense drawing of a scared Batgirl and Joker, but how did this cause so much trouble".
The image above is a reference to one of the Best written Bat-stories ever The Killing Joke (and Alan Moore story from the 80s) in which in order to convince Batman anyone can go insane like him arrives at the Gordon's house shots Barbara through the abdomen strips the commissioner and her and shows Gordon naked photos of a bleeding naked Barbara. By the end Batman catches up with the Joker, they share a laugh and Batman seemingly kills the Joker (or proves Joker right by going nuts).
Now, the idea that the Joker raped Barbara has always floated about the place (and Moore like many of his big 2 works has disowned it), owning the original works I can tell you Barbara was sexually assualted... But wasn't raped explicitly or hinted at but then so was Gordan Sr.
But that is only part of the problem as the cover above is a variant of the new direction of Batgirl which is aimed at the tween audience, and the artist was requested after his first attempt to make a new cover that was more "Extreme" and he did. Since the uproar however he has requested to recall the cover from print.
Believe you me, this is only skimming the surface of all this crap, there where death threats and petitions for an against, forms of censorship, it was insane. Joker Insane (okay, maybe not). I'd give you my perspective but it's all been resolved and between this and DC getting new looks straight out of the 90s, I'll let you find out for you're selves.
Blog: I'm almost done with my conics blog for last mouth, Just as well though, the past 2 weeks have been a bit of a drought for comic for me.
Anime Blog
Almost done, I have to re-watch quite a bit just to get something to say, while writing I was surprised just how hard it all was, for almost opposite reasons of the series Blog. I'm getting there though.
I haven't watched anything new since... ether Phycho Pass or Attack on Titan but the latest Ghost in the Shell anime are prepped for eventual viewing.
Well I've read up on you guys, nice to see you all getting on, I'll be sleeping and eating for a while, so until then, This is V saying
"I want more toys"

I think the comic book fiasco is crazy, I understand both sides feelings on it but it all comes down to one thing. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's a variant cover, those typically sell fast and to the hardcore fans who like it. I really think the whole get fustrated over things made recently is getting out of hand. The sad thing is, the more people bend over and give in the worse it will get. I know there is apparently alot of uproar over the next Senran Kagura game coming to 3DS. Nintendo clearly can't release mature rated games on their handheld and consoles -_-. I'm hopeing Nintendo releases the game. I'm excited for Mortal Kombat but I'm pissed that they made more of the Cage family playable. They put Cassie in it and to me that's enough playable since she is technically a successor to them. I'm really doubting Sindel will be playable now :(
Jax evil???? What?????

Yeah, I saw soom early images and he looks demonic. Now it could be a skin but I doubt it. Speaking of Skins characters will have Predator skins as in characters from the movie. Jax will look like the black guy who's arm got shot off.

Lol. I always thought Michelle Obama looked like a man.
Every since Naruto ended, I haven't been watching much anime. Lately, I've watched a little Dragon Ball and One Piece.
I heard about the Batgirl cover a couple days ago. It's funny that the people complaining over the cover are, more than likely, the people that aren't buying Batman or any comic anyway. Damn social justice, politically correct, whiners are everywhere.

Put a weave on any black man and they'll look like the average black woman, any transvestite can tell you that.
Anyway, yeah, a lot of whining going on, I would have been fine if they had stopped at the cover being too far from the books tone but they just kept on and on...

I caught up with the controversy and it's yet again another cherry-picked whinning from the Tumblr type liberals. Seriously, do they even know how The Joker acts? Do they even know that in Batman there's been other gruesome covers, including many involving the caped crusader himself? Yeah, pretty much another case of political correctness gone crazy. It's people like those that make me ashamed of being liberal.
Man, I should get 999. Hope it isn't rare now.

999 shouldn't be too rare as it got enough of a cult status that people have only started really buying it a short time after till now, so some pristines will be found here and there.
I just want that watch that came with it
There is a bit of cherry-picking here, it obscures the reality.

I've been buying comics again! I got the new starwars comics, but I also bought Spider Gwen. Haven't read them all yet, but I'm pleased with them so far.
Nice to hear from you!

I have two copies of Virtues Last Reward. One I bought from the eShop when it was one sale and one for Vita which was part of my PSN+ sub. I started it on the 3DS and played through the elevator puzzle. I thought it was pretty good.

I love 999, I want to get Zero Escape but it is either that or Xenoblade on the New 3DS. I'm afraid it might also become rare, I know they are going to sell Xenoblade 3D in more places, but you can never be too sure. I will get Zero Escape at some point.
I've heard about the cover thing too, but the people who are complaining don't know how the Joker works. I never read the comics but I know that the Joker is really crazy and he does crazy things. I also know about the Killing Joke despite never reading it thanks to Cracked.com. All I can say is that there is no way DC (or Marvel) could get away releasing a comic/story like that without getting a huge amount of backlash from everyone.

Priorities, eh? I understand, Xenoblade is too big too ignore.
Marvel under a different label, and DC's vertigo but yeah, they couldn't do it that way anymore and that's a shame, that boundery pushing made the writers of the 80s boosted the profile of comics for all, many writers today can acomplish what they did in Superhero comics of the 80s in their indie stuff but few of them could do the same or equal to that in superhero comics today.

I'd kind of like a black James Bond, even if Idris Elba was my first choice and he doesn't seem interested.

Well, Bond was based on Black men so I doubt anyone would know the difference

I might have to read that Killing Joke comic since I've now read two books by Alan Moore.

try and find an unedited one, I have only read the original but I have since heard some dialogue was changed for some reason.
