Work. I needs a job, they gave me a job, no one else gave me a job. And here we are.
This looks fine, yet oh-so-missable. Have you tried Code of Princess? Don;t know if it's what you're looking for, but I've enjoyed it quite a bit so far.
Yeesh. Good to know I can skip this one, bad to know that Silent Hill has fallen yet further.
I have seen almost teh entirety of teh original series (my Mom's a huge fan, and our local library had most of it; family time and all that). Tribbles are awesome and easy to make by hand. Also why no McCoy or Scotty? Or those poor redshirts? Or Harry Mud?
This is actually kind of a cool idea. I agree that Konami probably held Kojima back from offing Snake in MGS4, but I'm ok with him surviving, especially since, ultimately, it was by his own choice, which is both cool and ties back into teh first Solid title. But....I'm not sold on Johnny. Honestly, I'd go with Meryl. Remember her? Kind of important in MGS, comepletely unmentioned in MGS2, kinda secondary throughout MGS4, which had teh interesting effect of leaving her very survival of MGS in question, thanks to that game's branching point? I keep hoping she'll get a little love attention. Maybe she could get her own title. It's unlikely, but I can dream. And hey, that means Johnny is likely to play at least some role, given their relationship.
Yay! I suck at fighters, but I love BlazBlue and Persona 4 Arena. Hopefully I'll find this series useful!
Speaking of awesome games where you shout "Barrel!" at barrels: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/EmbricOfWulfhammersCastle?from=Main.EmbricOfWulfhammersCastle
Whew. Teh more you know, am I right? Thanks for teh info!
Welp, yeah, that's pretty much how they work. There's a reason Dark Souls is often compared to them. There are randomized dungeon crawlers that aren't considered rogulikes; teh genre is basically defined by its difficulty. That's really just part of teh deal.
That said, I think I see where you're coming from. You're wanting teh heavily randomized, loot and exploration heavy experience of a roguelike but....easier. I think I could actually get behind that, done right.
