Oh darn! I haven't opened my Olimar amiibo box yet. I need a reason to do it. 

Oh ok. I was wondering about that device. I was hoping it was just the base of the amiibo, but I guess not. Well, I guess I'll look into getting one. 

The first PS4 game I played this year, Dragon Quest Heroes, didn't give my any problem. I was most worried about lots of updates on booting up the system for the first time, but they went by very fast. That's a big improvement over PS3 which always made me wait for yet another update every time I started it up. 

Yes it was mostly updates that made it take so long, like 9 of them. The final time was 3.5 hours. It is worth the wait. I played it with Mark all evening on Monday. Really fun.

I watched a gameplay video. No one does these things right. You hear a lot of chitty chat over video of them just running around doing almost nothing. Then you get the pro trailers which show you snippets of cutscenes. I want a short video demonstrating the things you do in the game. Can anyone handle that? Apparently not.

That's my rant, otherwise it looks pretty cool.

That Bioshock 2 record looks sweet! I want that.

I want a Yoshi crapping out a Goomba-like egg on mine with the face of MGSV's Snake saying the words, "DO IT!".

I still have the old 3DS. I'm curious if you can use amiibos with it. So far M&L: Paper Jam hasn't told me I couldn't.

Waiting for the install to finish on Destiny right now. It's been TWO HOURS so far. I like listening to the Marty O'Donnell music over the concept art slideshow though. But seriously, TWO HOURS! WTF.
