Seriously. Hell, I've never wanted one myself, but I just find the way people talk about it so aggravating.

The Wii did a far better job of catering to the mass market than either of the other two consoles ever managed.
Careful, friend. That kind of talk can get you in trouble on the internet. :p
That's the main thing that I find strange about how much people hated it.
In a community where people constantly whine about how games are too safe and unoriginal, and how AAA budgets stifle creativity, the Wii was built around a completely different approach and had any number of games that defied the industry mold. Sure, there was a lot of shovelware as well, but the PS2 had tons of shovelware as well and that didn't stop people from loving it.
There's so much self-defeating hypocrisy in the bitching abour the Wii, and it depresseds me to no end.
The 3DS and PS4 are where I'll be castiing my lot as well, alongside the Vita. Those three should do me well for the next few years.
I'm definitely leaning towards it, LOL.
Still mad I couldn't get it at $130 during Black Friday. :(
What are you playing on it right now? Just curious.
The breadth of the game offerings--particulary Nintendo-published stuff--is what impresses me the most about it. There are so many different kinds of games I want to try.
The PSP was absolutely amazing.
That...doesn't surprise me in the least. I remember a lot of Wii games being expensive years later when I looked them up a while ago. That's just how Nintendo rolls, I guess.
But at the very least, I can just buy the games used.
