Yeah I was surpirsed to get an email back from Ubisoft out of all the places I emailed. Which is awesome, because a lot of my favorite games come from Ubisoft.
Thank you! Yeah, the guy I talked to sent me the form I need to ask for review copies of games. and he told me to ask for AC4 in September...so hopefully that's a good sign? :)
I actually asked for AC4 to begin with, and he said I have to wait a little longer before they start sending out copies.
I know, thank you so much for your help/suggestions! It's Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. I'm going to start my review today, so hopefully it's finished by tonight...if not, definitely tomorrow.
I've never played any of the Assassin's Creed on handheld consoles, so I'll just have to take your word for it. I know it goes along with Assassin's Creed III, and just going off the third game, I don't blame you for not enjoying it (although I can't say for certain, having never played it myself). If you think the whole thing is interesting, though, I would start with AC2. I think it's definitely the best one.
If you do decide to actually play the games, let me know how you like them.
Thanks! Yeah, I absolutely loved the game. I have another friend who likes playing the game, just not following the story. He's like you-likes the idea, but not the actual story.
Which is still cool, I think the game has awesome mechanics. Did you try out the multiplayer at all?
Thank you! I just posted up the reviews this morning, it's really jsut my first day on the site.
I agree with you on the privateer part-while it was fun, it was way more fun to run around on my own, having all the random fights. When I was the privateer, and given the option to explore the island between missions. I decided to just complete each mission so I could finish and get back to my pirate-infested areas :D
The radio towers were awesome-it was very helpful throughout the game, and I too loved liberating those outposts. It was a nice break from the story, while still allowing me to focus on a goal. I usually enjoy having side missions, and there were plenty of those, between the outposts, supply drops, and the trials of the Rakyat.
You talking about the alligator reminded me of two wild animal encounters...first, I dove into the river to harvest some plants, and was swimming to shore when I was dragged back under by an alligator. It was the first time that happened, and succeeding in surprising me. I jumped pretty bad haha. Second, one of the pirates accidently set his own captured tiger free while trying to kill me, and I just let the tiger finish off the pirates. About five minutes later, it rushes me. Almost everything that happens in that game is unexpected...which is another thing that I love about it!
Yeah, I am way more excited for AC:IV. The ending of AC3 was just insanely disappointing. I didn't really have a problem with the tutorial, but the objectives always seemed a little off.
Pirates are definitely more exciting.
