Yes, I believe Data East published the arcade version and SNK published the Neo Geo one. I don't remember ever seeing it in arcades either.

Wait wait, you got rid of everything? Say this isn't so!
It's too bad Bonk went extinct. I would love to play Super Bonk on SNES, but I haven't. I'll have to play that one next.
Give the series a shot, and I would recommend you play this one.
Yeah, I'm talking about mechanics and creativity. Mario defined the platforming and added amazing things with each new installment; Sonic made the genre feel like a rollercoaster ride; Bonk is slow and plodding, not really offering anything unique. Perhaps the most unique thing is the setting, although dinosaurs were a big deal in the 90s.
Bonk is still great. The word "bonk" makes me want to go hit someone. Bonk!
LOL Streets of Rage 2 is one of my favorite beat 'em ups, right behind the top one, Turtles in Time on SNES.
Amazing! This is especially remarkable because these kids would've been born around 1998 or so. It's good to see them paying respect to gaming's greatest icons.
The graphics are great, although the characters move very stiffly.
I haven't played any of the other versions, but now I sure want to.
