Actually, Rob took point on the music this episode. It was his baby, I just edited it.
But the Final Fantasy funeral music...that was all me, kids.

I remember this game hitting our shelves with a resounding thud, and we had a very hardcore and passionate RPG customer base. It just looked too old school at a time when we were collectively looking for the next shiny advancement in graphics. I heard great things about it from the few people who picked it up though.
Pre-ordered mine today, and I'll be doing the midnight launch, my first since GTA IV. I'm not actually a big Halo fan, but the prospect of a new storyline and far better enemy designs excites me.
I think I dodged a bullet here. If I had played this one after reviewing Red Johnson's Chronicles I may have had to hang myself.
I too have tried out different MMOs. But I always come back to FF XI. Looking forward to the long awaited PS3 release of FF XIV though.
I was going to say that it would be great for later play throughs as the story progresses, but to be honest, with the plot of Mass Effect 3 being so urgent, most of the existing missions seemed a bit needless when compared to the entire galaxy being in peril. Helping Aria retake Omega seems like something that should be really low on the list of priorities.
Funny story: I worked at a movie theater when Alone in the Dark came out. I could have seen it for free and still didn't. Uwe Boll+Tara Reid+franchise I hate=avoid at all costs.
As far as video game anime, Street Fighter: The Animation is still the king. I hated stuff like Tekken, Battle Arena Toshinden, and Devil May Cry. Fatal Fury was good too, if only for Masami Obari's crazy fan service.
In no particular order:
Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy IV, Ico, The Legend of Zelda (NES), Super Metroid.
Let's be clear: we're all bringing Garrus with us for this mission, right? Right?
I can totally see someone really enjoying this game. For me, I became very aware of the mechanics and came to the conclusion that it was just a decently packaged collection of minigames. Displayed in a different format (like an iOS game) and I could see people having a good time with it.
And yeah, that character pretty much flies in the face of everything we said in the Femme Fatales episode of NWP. She's basically a slut with little personality or depth and is instead just another obstacle. One that happens to sleep with anyone that asks, and finds Red Johnson's name hilarious.
