In case you were wondering, the Newsies from left to right would be Patrick, Rob, and myself. Although that should be fairly obvious at this point.

BioWare is the place I've wanted to work since I decided I want to pursue a job in the game industry. That was in large part because of the doctors. Their passion for what they do was always very apparent. I think it's easy to say this was all because of the EA corporate machine and that may well be, but the BioWare fans probably have a lot to do with it too. I'd say the Mass Effect 3 ending uproar was the last straw for at least one of them.

A little bit. But honestly (and I bring this up on NWP this week) I feel like EA had poked their head into the BioWare works so much that the doctors probably didn't have much say in the way things were going. The producer on Dragon Age has been around since the Baldur's Gate days so the game is in good hands. Especially since it's not a quick 18 month turnaround, which again I'm sure was an EA mandate.

To steal a bit from When Harry Met Sally: "YES! YES! OH GOD, YES!"

I mean the name TVii is bad. It looks awful when written. 

I thought the presentation was a bust until they dropped the Bayonetta bomb. I still didn't get the sense that the Wii U is something special, and they spent way too long with the entertainment stuff. I wanted to know about their online strategy. And TVii is just awful. Seriously, it looks so bad in print.

I still want one, though. Sigh.

I actually liked Homecoming. I think it's a far better game than Downpour, and the story is really good. I wish the dev team had been a little more ambitious with the monster designs instead of retreading on previous games, because their more original stuff looks great.

I remember being really impressed with Geist at my first E3, and then my second E3, and then I never got around to playing it when it finally came out. Always wanted to though.

I like FF XIII. I like Lightning. I even like FF XIII-2. But this is the Final Fantasy world that I'd probably least like to see turned into a splinter franchise. FF XIII is one of only two games in the series that I'd give only 3 stars to. But even if it had been one of my all-time favorites I'd be against a third game, because I want Final Fantasy XV.

Sigh.
