I think the clothes were different in the last trailer, weren't they? Are they jumping through time in this game? Sorry if this is explained in the trailer, I watched part of it, but I've been up a while and I'm starting to drift off.

I think one of the Retro Rampage guys had a blog about this recently as well, at least the reasons against importing and the fact you can put words together to create spells seem to indicate it's the same game.
It's a bit of a tragedy that I just can not get into RPGs like this (though I did watch a friend play Mario RPG, which, hey it made your list!), but especially with the difficulty, I doubt this is for me.
You may have opened others up to a rare gem, though. Always cool to see someone talk about a game not many know about.
I also played a bit of the first game. I liked it, I think I got to Tarzan. Maybe a bit further. This though, this is awesome.
Yeah, I know you used it as your theme for that reason, but I guess the Chinese also associate different elements with these animals for different time periods. For instance, I was born in the year of the horse, 1990, and within a specific time frame, it was the time of the Metal Horse, where other years it can be the Water Horse, etc.
This is the year of the Water Snake ... or Liquid Snake, if you will.

Well, I was thinking of a cartoon heart, but ok Mr. Dark Knight, everything needs to be taken in the most realistic way possible.
In all seriousness, that would be a serious problem. lol
And that very need for context is why you are still this world's student.
Nah, it's just another way of saying there's always more to learn.
I'm digging the vibe from all the colorful, feel-good stuff I've seen and heard today. First I see Game Grumps playing Super Mario Sunshine and Kirby's Epic Yarn, now this. Makes my heart smile.
I think of the three DS ones, Portrait of Ruin is probably the easiest. Order of Ecclessia can be a serious pain in the ass when it wants to be. Still need to play DoS.
Those first two games sound like fun. I appreciate the to-the-point title of Mighty Quest for Loot.
