That thing is super fugly. Just wanted to mention that. That being said, I kind of want one anyway, though I'm disappointed that Nintendo seems to be struggling so badly with this system. After the unbelievable success of the DS, I expected Nintendo to really hit the ground running with the 3DS and we've seen nothing of the sort. It's especially disappointing when you consider that they should've learned their lesson with the launch of the DS.

If anything is evident to me, it's that the 3DS wasn't ready for prime time when it launched. It probably should've stayed in R&D till holiday this year and came out strong with a healthy list of AAA Nintendo titles.

I have to wonder what's going through Nintendo's head if a redesign is announced at next week's press conference. At that point it's essentially a relaunch and twenty virtual console games isn't going to quell anyone's anger about having an inferior, gimped version of the hardware. If that is the destiny of the system, this peripheral better be sent to all current 3DS owners for free.

Please extrapolate. Are you dissatisfied with the score? Is it the text of the review? I was pretty clear about the game's shortcomings. I could understand the anger if I didn't justify the score, but I made sure to break it all down.

I even forgot to mention that in co-op online two people can't choose the same character. Because all of your progress is tied to a character and not a profile, you'll likely get stuck not playing with your leveled up character of choice.

Worse than that, we put out three back-to-back-to-back 1 star reviews. Bad games make me a sad panda.

Funny enough, I wrote an article for Nintendo World Report a while back that came to nearly the same conclusion you have here. There I was talking mostly about how good art direction trumps high-poly graphics.

Interestingly, I actually cited the same comparison between Twilight Princess and Wind Waker as a great benchmark for why art direction is so much more important. With Skyward Sword now existing, I can agree that it appears to be a beautiful looking combination of the two.

So I'm an awful person and I totally missed this PlayBit, nor have I watched the replays. What's your take on the game thus far, Jason? I did watch a couple short minutes in the middle and the game seemed pretty boring.

This is another N64 platformer I always wanted to check out. I'd never seek it out on its own at this point, but if I were to grab it in an eBay lot, I'd be pretty excited to give it a go.

I miss 3D platformers... :(

It's way too soon for a redesign, but given he source of the rumor, I really have to believe it. I know they also talked about a peripheral for current owners, but I have no idea how that's going to work.

I'm definitely not a fan of his new look, but I can't say I was a fan of his old look either. The combat seems pretty fluid, but I can't say I know what the game will be like yet.

I'm definitely willing to give Ninja Theory the benefit of the doubt, especially after Enslaved (not that I've played it, but it's hard to ignore Stanton's fanboyish love for it).

I adore this game. It's been one of my favorites since I had an original NES. I'm not sure any of the other Kirby games have captured the magic of this one, except maybe Epic Yarn.
