Actually, according to Jeremy Parish's Twitter, Ziff Davis plans to keep the servers at 1up running indefinitely, so you will probably have time to complete the series. lol

Actually, I just played ultimate 2000s and 2000s rock playlists on Song Pop, and apparently I lied, I like a lot of it ... must be cause it's the good stuff they're putting on there, I remember the good stuff being much fewer and far between on radio. Hmm..

Searched it expecting someone had, since there's one of those types of videos for pretty much every modern movie, so I figured there'd be one for this popular game; initial search only got me a bunch of Let's Plays. I'm sure there's a video like that buried in there somewhere, though.

My Top Ten Game Intro Music

10. Loved it, great jazz fusion piece.

9. I liked it, didn't love it, but I know how you feel about Sonic. lol

8. Blue's original opening music will always be the quntessential Pokemon song for me, but interesting beat they added

7. I love smooth jazz ... it's so, smooth. Cool Used to listen to it to help me sleep... kinda wished smooth jazz DJs would be less creepy, though. lol

6.  hear this playing Song Pop's videogames playlist all the time; it has more horns in other versions though? Hmmm... will have to listen and see what I like better.

5. I'd choose this over MM2 as well, but MM3 is my favorite opening theme ever, probably.

4. I agree with everything you said.

3. Ditto, minus the doing it too often in front of a friend. lol

2. Minimalism does work wonders for atmosphere sometimes.

1. Bit more rock n' roll sounding than I'd think an SH song to be, but it is good.

I don't know what my favorites would be, but Majora's Mask does a great job of setting that game's tone, and of course you gotta love the DK rap. lol I also like Order of Ecclesia's opening quite a bit.

I really hope someone gives me a free 360 or PS3 so I can play this thing. Between Conan's Clueless Gamer bit on it, your and KayshireCat's reviews, and the fact it just looks amazing, I really want to play it.

I can imagine not liking disco, metal, and 2000s pop, those are pretty love/hate genres on their own; and you're on my mom's side with Elvis I guess, and to be honest mine cause I never found him that interesting, but it was an obvious choice for 50s to me.

Glad you enjoyed some of the others though, especially Macklemore (I found the song a pleasant surprise as well), that's the whole point of mixing a bag of music. Wink

My older brother was eleven, I would have been five in 1995, so he was into the grunge and metal, while I would have been into the pop stuff in that year. Didn't really understand the harder stuff's appeal until later. As a teenager in the 2000s, I envy the radio you guys got to enjoy. lol

I have a couple "ok" pieces just from screwing around with DS-10, but I'm not sure I'd share the few tracks I have. Maybe I will in the future.

Ah, I was going to say an old Irish folk song I know of was "Whiskey in the Jar," but stopped typing that when I realized the songs didn't sound that much alike, hence I must have mixed the two titles and not noticed. My mistake.

Very cool; and my jealousy that I can't play it increases. lol

Catching up on PS3: Uncharted 3

I think I'd like the Uncharteds if I had a chance to play them at more than just kiosks, but I always hear the same thing about the combat, especially that it's easy to get killed.

Killzone 2 has some pretty awesome moments; I personally loved what I played of it at a friend's, particularly a certain nail gun weapon. Your character is kind of short though. lol
