ER. MAH. GERD.

I saw that Daft Punk ad on TV recently, I loved their most famous one (I forget its name) when I listened to it n Spotify on one of my walks, and of course they were a big part of why I liked Tron: Legacy so much.

I used to try watching Arrested Development, but the rest of my family HATED it, so I was forced to change channels, since it was usually at dinner when it was on.

PlayStation 4 To Predict Earthquakes!

I was heavily considering buying the PS3 above other consoles because it was a Blu Ray Player. Ended up not doing that, and still just rent DVDs mostly, but I agree, I'm glad these systems come with extra bells and whistles, whether or not they're needed.

It's not like the thing won't play games, so I'm just waiting until it has a few more of those that interest me, and see what Microsoft can offer. Announcements/launches are never that great to me, I'm surprised people still flip out over lackluster starts for software on consoles.

Guinness Draught Beer Review

Interesting to see that someone is doing stuff like this on Pixlbit, I watch a lot of what's called Brad Tries on blip.tv.

I actually did commit Irish-American sacrilege (I was born in Dallas, TX, but my late grandpa from Wisconsin was an Irishman, and I believe I'm about 3/4 Irish, despite a Polish last name and a German face, I've been told) when I tried my first Guiness and thought it tasted way too bitter for me.

What you're describing here as milkshake beer, on the other hand, reminds me more of St. Brendan's/Irish Cream Liquor, which is my favorite alcoholic beverage, and a dark English lager I had from a place called Beer Garden in East Dallas.

If you're giving this an A-, I'll have to check this out, especially since what I know of Guiness is just a sip or two when I was a lot younger.

March Madness of a different kind

The guy you linked reminds me of a Disney movie about a Jamaican bobsledding team ... which unfortunately, I remember hearing was kind of dumb and didn't do the real life story justice.

Interesting and very cool that there are also Jamaican mushers.

As for the videogame, sadly, I think the lack of a sim might come down to how big a market there is for it? I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but that'd be my guess; however, I think smartcelt's idea for an adventure game could help matters, I know I'd be intrigued!

And I could be talking out of my butt about the market for it, not like I've looked this up, and if they can spend years getting the cockpit right for my older brother's flight sim I'd never heard of before, and make games based on the Olympics, they can damn well make a game about the Itidarod! Now, who would you send letters to about making this happen, I wonder? lol

True ... and I actually didn't realize I had done that, but come on, I talked about movies more than games on 1up, which is the reason I'm doing this GLaD thing to force myself on the topic of games to begin with, so you shoulda seen that one coming! haha

The important thing is, we agree on things like this. lol

Next Time, on Nerds Without Pants: You?

Not having played it, nor being able to, I don't have much interesting to add about the game, except to say that I probably played MGS2 just as gung-ho as one would play Revengeance, and that's one of the things I liked about that game: if I got tired of stealth, I'd get punished, but I could still complete it, anyway.

Obviously, Revengeance is what I did in MGS2 times ten, and using a sword, but I wonder how different it would feel to someone like me, who sometimes rushed through other MGS games, ignoring stealth to get to the next cutscene.

Probably a lot different, so forget I said anything and have a wonderful podcast. lol

I was never that interested in Resistance, but that clip looked pretty awesome ... and like it was TERRIBLE for your arthristis, but awesome nonetheless. haha

Sounds hard, but I have played games for the mere enjoyment of seeing different ways a character can be killed before ... hmmm...

Interesting you re-post this the day after I try uploading a million Wind Waker Link avatars (and succeed, finally, today) and I decide to make my GLaD entry about the game and how it introduced me to the graphical style.

Now I know what it's like to be the movie Dredd, in production before, then accused of ripping off Raid: Redemption. Tongue Out

Well, I've not been accused of it yet, I just want to say, excellent blog, and I agree with you about the look helping last gen's titles to stand out a great deal (and making them age far better than other realistically styled games in my opinion), and I swear I'm not copying your idea for a blog. lol

GLaD 2: Metal Marines (PC) + Ska/Punk Saturday

I totally understand needing to be in the mood for this stuff, and hell, all music. I can hate something one day, love it the next.

I must admit, I don't know near as much about actually ska bands (re: not just punk bands utilizing lots of upstrokes and horn sections), but I have been discovering a lot more of it through Song Pop, and I love it.
