I just hooked up my PS4 again, but I've gotten sucked into Mass Effect Andromeda again. I'll try that demo when i emerge. haha.

I just put Yar's Rising on my Xbox wish list the other day. Wayforward gives me confidence in it.
I'm curious about Mika and the Witch's Mountain. It sounds like a fantasy version of my old job, which I kind of secretly enjoyed.
I have paid very little attention to the story of Doom over the years. A good vid like this might just get me interested in it.
The main thing for me was the fighting controls and they are much better than the old ones.
I finally burned out and played several short games this week.
These "Universe Explained" vids are neat. I'll have to look one up for my youtube watching during breaks in gaming sessions.
Oh yeah, the Paper Mario comparison. I forgot about that with Bug Fables. Totally! I played a bunch of it back when it came out but didn't finish it for some reason. This time I could not finish it again. haha.
Yeah, too many games for sure. I like looking over the lists anyway. It reminds me of some games I need to get and a few I didn't know about before like Umurangi Generation.
I had a lot of grim FPS and strategy games ahead of Ni No Kuni 2, but I think I just wanted a bright and cheery game in my current funk. I didn't expect to finish it, but nothing particularly discouraged me until that post game dungeon. Will I stay with DQXI 'til the end? I don't know. I'm a bit touchy lately, so as long as it doesn't throw at me something I feel is unfair, I'll keep going.
And I would say to "getting over the hump", just be okay with not finishing it. I feel, even if I only played a few hours of a long game, I got something out of it. And there'll be more for a return visit too. These redditer's bragging about their numerous 100% completions be damned.
I'm excited to get back into Streets of Rage 4. I played a little bit of it a while back and liked it a lot. I didn't have a great time with LM Dark Moon, and struggled to finish the first one, but I love Luigi and the haunted house setting so much. I hope 3 has controls I don't have to fight this time. And I have MLBIS original on DS I need to play. I forgot this 3DS one is a remake. I'm going to have to see if I can find a copy. I love the M&L series.
It looks really interesting. If I get my PS4 running this month, I'll check it out (or my Switch).
