Prime Remastered has all the control schemes, basically. The new addition, though, is true twin stick controls. I bet that would solve your problems.

I can't believe I'm playing two great remastered games at the same time lol. The game has made my kids go through a DuckTales cartoon binge as well.
Metroid Prime Remastered is worth the wait! I hope the park season goes well.
This is one of the few Xbox One exclusives that I really wanted to play and made sure to buy a copy when we got that console...but I still haven't played it! You definitely make it sound like a lot of fun.
Stage Select: My biggest disappointment with Octopath Traveller was how the story failed to come together in any meaningful way. What I think would be cool is a game with multiple characters like that but the story changes based on who you have in your party. So if monsters are terrorizing a town, having a warrior in your party would give you the option of hunting and killing the monsters, whereas a beast tamer might give you the option to capture the alpha monster and stop the attacks that way. Or if you're trying to solve a murder, one of your classes might enable you to look for clues and piece together what happened. Or, if you have a necromancer, you can just raise the victim and ask them. Whatever choices you make will change what options are available to you later on. Making a game like that would be a spreadsheet nightmare trying to keep everything straight but it would be so cool to play, and I'd rather play a 10 to 20 hour RPG that's eminently replayable than something that takes 100 hours.
Cage Match: Let's line up the versus here. I think Scott Pilgrim would beat the plants by neglecting to water them and the zombies would beat the world because, honestly, that's what always happens. Then it would be Scott Pilgrim vs the world OF ZOMBIES and I just don't see him winning that fight.
Cage Match ideas:
-Skyrim VR vs Breath of the Wild Nintendo Labo VR
-Super Meat Boy vs I Am Bread
-Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball vs Super Mario Sunshine
I went through a pretty heavy sudoku phase at one point but haven't done any in awhile. I guess picross is filling that space these days.
The PS5 is huge! It's several inches taller than any of the other consoles. It's a cool design though.
One of my sons has stuck with it and it looks really cool.
We play twice a week! It's a big deal. And they play all the PS4 games but better.
I was militantly on the Nintendo side of the console wars during the '90s but in the early 2000s, when I first started to have a disposable income, I bought a Genesis off ebay so I could play Contra: Hard Corps and Gunstar Heroes. Back then GameStop still sold all the old games and usually at pretty good prices, so I got a few good ones that way too. I have a harder time going back Genesis game these days, maybe because I don't have the same nostalgia as I do for Nintendo's old consoles (or maybe they tend to not be as good...)
