Donkey Kong Country Returns Gets Classic Controller Support

This code in particular does not, but I presume other codes removing motion control must exist out there. Of course, each must be tailor-made, so it definitely doesn't make said codes easy to come by.

I honestly wish I knew more about making the Ocarina codes. I'd be interested in delving into the process to remove motion controls from other games.

That's correct Jason, I think the way I wrote one sentence regarding Riivolution was a bit confusing. I just rewrote it to clarify that it's unclear if those that haven't modded their Wii will eventually be able to use the Classic Controller with the help of Riivolution.

I can't even begin to explain how much this improves the game. No longer is there frustration trying to do anything at all in the game. Now, any frustration is purely from the game's challenge, and that's all.

If I were to revisit my review with these new controls in place, I'd gladly change the score to a 4.5/5.

Yeah, I would've much preferred the old style multiplayer. It always worked just fine and would've been a lot better than what was done here. I definitely suggest going it alone, but I'm definitely preaching to the choir.

Atari and Sony Reveal Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime

When I first saw this news, I was pretty excited to see a new Ghostbusters game being made. When I heard that it wasn't going to involve any of the old talent, my heart definitely sank.

It still looks like it could be a great game, but I think it's going to depend largely on the team mechanics. If it's the equivalent of an isometric top-down shooter, I don't know if I'll be able to stomach it for long.

It seems this one turned out as expected for me. Nothing about this game struck me as particularly good at E3. Seemed like it was getting all too much hype over the fact that it was a dark quest starring Mickey and other Disney characters. I can see the appeal there, but jeez, it's not all that exciting.

That's unfortunate, some of the best games of this generation are on the Wii.

Yeah, maybe I misrepresented how I was feeling about it in the forums, but for me a 4/5 is a pretty low score for this game. Given how much I love the series, this should've been a 5/5 GOTY contender, but it wasn't.

It's a good game no doubt, just not as good as I think the media has been painting it.

I still haven't grabbed Cave Story, I might just have to get it on DSiWare instead of WiiWare. Seems like a really good fit for a portable title.
