Rayman Legends holds up really well. I saw that it got a Switch release at some point (maybe for the other consoles too, I don't know), so there are current ways to play it. There are some levels meant to be played with touch on the Wii U gamepad screen, so I'm curious how those are handled but otherwise, yeah, you wouldn't know it's ten years old.
Yeah, I'm going to need to have some sort of "Aha!" moment where it clicks with me for TotK to have any chance against some of the other games I've played this year.

I remember hearing that Singularity wasn't great. More of a "meh" than "bad." What's your opinion on it?

I really wanted to like Epic Mickey and I really tried. But I wasn't a fan of the mission-based hub world style they saddled the game with and, as you said, the camera stunk. The dark promotional art translated to a dingy and dull world, I felt, and it just wasn't fun to play. I did pick up the 3DS Metroidvania-style follow up when I found it on clearance but I didn't bother at all with the direct sequel.

Free Radical also made a super underrated game called Second Sight. Maybe you've played it, but I always try to sing its praises when I can lol. It was a story-driven game about a guy with telekinetic powers that takes place both before and after his powers awaken. Really cool game that I wish more people talked about.

Ahem. Wind Waker is also super good. One of the best endings. You need to see it. And TimeSplitters 2 was a favorite of mine at the time. Did you play the third game, Future Perfect? That one really ascended into the realm of excellence. I loved all the extra stuff in those games like one-off challeges and goofy multiplayer modes.
Man, another big year. The GBA sticks out for me so much. I can't remember if I actually got a GameCube before the calendar rolled over into 2002. I don't think so. I have always wanted to play a Fatal Frame game and still haven't.

Chrono Cross is a very divisive game in the fan community and I'll be honest, it is not a good sequel to Chrono Trigger. It is only tangentially related and when the Trigger cast does show up, it does them dirty. But taken on its own merits as an RPG, it is excellent. I highly recommend it.
I've always been a big fan of Treasure (the developer) and so back in the early 2000s I imported Sin & Punishment and physically modded my N64 to play it. It is a very fun game that can be played through in about an hour (a great length of time for this type of game; easy to replay on a whim). I've played Star Successor on the Wii but could not manage to beat the final boss. I have always meant to go back and play it again and finally beat it but I haven't gotten around to it. Star Successor is too long, I think.
Right now I am missing the paraglider. I liked knowing that wherever I wandered off to, I could always jump off and float to safety. But I am looking forward to literally delving this game's secrets!
I haven't gotten to play Super Rush yet, so I'm not sure. I assume it has some crazy antics!
Man, we played one of the EDF games for a loooong time. Might have been 2025. The trophy requirements for that game were very unrealistic.
