I'm partial to story-driven games, and I think that was the big reason why I liked it so well. Wei Shen being deep undercover has to walk a fine line and really has his loyalties tested in the story. The other stuff was gravy. You can play through pretty quickly if you're only interested in playing the story missions, but the other stuff was (mostly) a lot of fun, too. I'm hoping someone gives me a Live giftcard for Christmas, because I'd really like to pick up a lot of the DLC.
LOL, it's very brown here at the moment, and then it will be very white before too long.
Didn't know about the new cartoon. Will have to keep my eyes open for it. I found vols. 1 and 2 of the American versions of the manga a few years ago. They were put out in 1983. I got them at The Monster Box, a little shop that sells action figures, memorabilia, and used retro games and consoles. The guy who owns the place sold them to me for $10 for both, and they seem to be in perfect condition.
Joe, from what I've been reading, you don't really need the souped up version for PC, the 7th gen version supposedly looks really good to start with.
I saw that Star Blazers live action movie. It's pretty good.
As for TV being evil, my parents didn't believe that in any religious sense, more like they felt we shouldn't be wasting our time and brain cells on TV when we could be doing other things. I don't think it made much of a difference, to be honest. I think if anything, we binged more when we could sneak TV time. I certainly watched a lot of crap I wouldn't have watched otherwise just because I could. It actually made more sense when they just restricted the amount of time we could spend watching TV per day.
I think so. But who knows. Might go off in a completely different direction. I do have gamer ADD, after all.
Liked the first two a lot, and other than the creepy metal voice parts, liked the third one. I was wondering about This War of Mine. Looks intriguing, but my laptop is ancient and cranky.
It seems to have something for everyone. Racing, stealth, action, a good story, rhythm games, brawling, shooting, exploration, customizable clothing, a decent leveling system. Is it the best game on the market? No, but it's a lot of fun.
I really need to play the Dragon Age games at some point. I really need to play Mass Effect at some point, too, lol.
