I feel the same way. Mario Galaxy was able to achieve that as well without an increase of graphics just by the brilliance of the space physics. It's less about the increased power and more about the new ideas they do with it.

There is definitely plenty of time left. I just got the feeling they weren't trying hard enough last week. The 360 was touting Gears as the next big thing and Perfect Dark Zero as the next Halo. Even though the second was wrong, you could just tell they were excited for next gen.
I could not be any less interested in the social media aspects. I mean, I'm sure some people will like it, but sites like 1up and Pixlbit are the most I want from a social media.
That's why I'm so excited for Destiny. It's one of my favorite developers who's been stuck on the same series for ten years into risky territory. That's the spark I want to see for next gen.
Yeah, the only current gen system I got at launch was Wii and I'm sure I wouldn't have if I owned a Gamecube. Waited for Mass Effect to get a 360 and Uncharted 2 convinced me to get a PS3. Both well worth it. Hopefully something will sucker me into next gen.
Wind Waker HD will be amazing. I'm sure if I'm patient we'll see some exciting things, I just thought they should have pulled one of those out for the reveal.
2 and only 2. Brotherhood and Revelations just exist for a plot point they completely butchar in 3 while 1 and 3 are just not good games.
Would have been really excited for it last year, but 3 pissed me off more than any other game this gen.
Yeah, I get that and agree. Just saying too much immaturity is better in my book than not enough.
I remember that blog on 1up. I have a new appreciation for immaturity though ever since I saw a thing on that Warren Spector "I'm getting old" speech. Immaturity at least means that people are having fun with the medium and making games, so there's some passion going into it. There may be too much, but that's better than not enough in my mind.
