My newest toy I got is Mario Kart Live Home Tour. I'll be playing it and reviewing it in the coming months.
You'll probably hate me, but Double Dash is one of my least favorite Mario Kart games. It really stole the thunder from Kirby Air Ride, which was such a brilliant game.
I think I did a Mario Kart ranking back when MK8 came out on Wii U. I don't care what other people say, my favorite will always be the SNES one.
I think I listed my top favorite Mario RPGs from all the series a long time ago, too, but there's been a lot come out since then.
Every Paper Mario game looks nice. Like I said, the only other game that pulls off that paper asthetic well is Tearaway. Man that was a great Vita game. PS4 version wasn't shabby either.
2014 was a pretty good year for me. I made a lot of money at my old job, enough to go on a trip to Disney World with my family that year. I even wrote about it at GamerDad.
My GOTY that year was Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. How could I not give it that award since it had Pac-Man, Mega Man, and Kirby in it!
I don't have any qualms with looking up guides. If it helps me enjoy a game, then I say it's OK.
I can't really recommend Color Splash. The origami in the new game is neat, but I don't know if it's really stuff you could really re-create.
As a kid, I always liked those red Star Wars guys. But back then, the action figure of them was really hard to get.
I met the guy who played Lando (Billy Dee Williams) at PAX once and we talked for a good ten minutes or so.
Octopath Traveller started to drag for me after I found all the characters. It got too grindy.
Dragon's Crown is great. I always played as the Amazon.
I didn't really play Hang On in arcades as a kid, but boy I sure do remember seeing it everywhere. More specifically, I remember HEARING it everywhere. Seems like every arcade owner wanted to turn the volume up as high as they could for Hang On, so everywhere I went in the arcade, I could hear the title screen theme, "donnnnggggg, donnnnggggg, donnnnnggggg..." Only other arcade game back then I remember them having the volume up really high for was Punch Out, so after the title screen theme from Hang On, I would also hear "Bodyblow! Bodyblow!"
