Glad to hear this. I enjoyed playing this game on Genesis, but like you said, the brutal difficulty near the end kinda ruined it for me (its unforgivingly tough). With those added features, I'm tempted to get this one.

It's a simple game, but any kid of the 80s would love it (you shoot gangsters!).
Get to it!
Just the more reason to keep those old tube TVs!
There weren't very many, and they weren't all that intersting. Like I said, an FPS on the NES would have been amazing with the Zapper, but that would have been way ahead of its time (which is why it should be done NOW).
Light gun games are very possible on the Wii U (motion controls), and Xbox still has Kinect, right? These games are still possible, but developers are not doing them. I remember Link's Crossbow Training and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (both for Wii); those are both light gun games.
Duck Hunt is fine, but in this game you're shooting gangsters! Way better!
That's right, instead of using just your thumbs, you use your hands! But this is no baby game; it's teaching kids how to shoot guns, after all!
True. I believe only tube TVs will work with the Zapper (flat screens won't work for some reason, I think). I'm fortunate enough to have a tube TV for my retrogaming.
No prob. Those are all Konami, right? Wow, that company might be my favorite retro company (for NES and SNES games). Pretty much everything they did was gold.
