this game is so good, its all about the battle system. I spent over an hour learning the battle system, but it ia completely worth it. Its definitely only for the hardcore jrpg crowd though.
Good question! The weapons weren't interesting, nor were they negative in any aspect. Everything in the weapons dept. is pretty standard. Your character is equipped with a customizable assault rifle, a simple weak pistol (with infinite ammo when you're running low), grenades, and a secondary replaceable weapon. You'll get Sniper Rifles, RPGs, Shotguns, massive chain guns, and another variation on an assault rifle. You can't upgrade any of the secondary weapons the way you can with the primary one, and their all the standard weapons you'd expect in a shooter, but there are no stand out weapons that become the focus.
When I think of awesome weapons I always think of the Resistance series, and you won't find anything crazy or innovative like in those games. All the weapons work and work well, but they definitely aren't a unique portion of the game.
Rock 'n Roll Racing was awesome!
I'm seeing a lot of 4 star launch titles for the Vita. I wonder how easy it is to port a game from PS3 to Vita, because it seems like most of these launch ports are scaling down nicely
I was so excited for this one before I actually saw how much of a rush job it was, it's definitely too bad, and the load times on a handheld especially can kill a game. Wipeout has loading issues as well on the Vita.
Those were my thoughts as well, it should have just been built in on the Vita as a bonus rather than a retail title.
This game is so so so good. I'm not a huge fan of the story aspects, but the shear fun of playing it and exploring the world made me hooked right away.
Haha I didn't have my laptop handy until after lunch and just couldn't wait. I'm really liking the Vita so far. The battery life sucks for long trips, but some of the launch titles are great and the actual vita itself is pretty impressive.
Just a comment about how unstable the Video Game industry is. It's sad when I can make more money, in a more stable condition doing graphic design (print design and web design) which is much easier to do and takes only half the talent of artists and developers for video games. I have a friend/ex coworker who used to work for EA Vancouver, then worked for Bioware Edmonton, and now works for Tiny Co in San Francisco. He got laid off at each of those jobs, and has ended up doing website programming to actually make stable money, while the more complex video game programming ends up being an unstable affair for him. He's an exceptional programmer and worked on several Need for Speed games, and more recently on Dragon Age 2, but his hopes and dreams keep getting shattered from the reality of AAA related layoffs.
